Re: Tinted Visors
I have tried Paul but with me needing glasses finding one that is comfortable with glasses with the internal visor down, and does not make my forehead ache is a real bind. Also if a tinted visor is illegal, why then are we permitted internal sun visors which are bloody tinted! GAH! Anyways getting ...

Get a helmet with an internal, secondary tinted visor.DrewJW wrote:So what do we use to stop being blinded from the bloody sun? surely that is more dangerous?
Whether or not the police will pull you up for using a tinted main visor (and they do), it's not wise to ride with one at night.

Do you swing your leg over the seat or sit on the seat and swing them round in front of you?

Waterproof phone case
So that I can use Google Maps on my HTC M8, I'm looking for a waterproof case and mount. I'd like to be able to mount it in the centre of the bars. I don't really want to pay for the premium offerings, but there are so many cheaper ones online that I don't know what's good and what's going to fall a...

Re: Long Commute
Yes, they stick because they are a bad design and positioned too close to the exhaust. The pad wear is impossible to inspect properly without removing the exhaust, caliper heatshield and caliper. Because they stick and cannot be inspected they are not reliable. OK, so we're confusing two different ...

Re: Break Pad Replacement
When I had my fuel pump (recall) replaced the mechanic said that calipers and seats were most of the warranty repairs and not any fuel pumps. He pulled out a warranty binder with all his paperwork and said he had repaired/replaced about 25% of what they had sold for one or the other. I have no idea...

Re: Long Commute
Brakes should last between services though. It's not really good enough. Well that depends on the rider and how hard they push and brake. If some riders can get thousands of miles out of a set of pads then if they're wearing quicker for someone else then it's down to the riding style. Though I susp...

8000 mile intervals on the Forza 300. It's why I chose it over the Kawasaki J300. Despite the promising 8000 mile intervals the Forza hasn't exactly covered itsself in glory in the reliability stakes. Quite a few people have gone through rear brake pads long before the first 8000 mile service and h...

Re: Long Commute
It would require a service every 3 or 4 weeks as well at that mileage. Yep. The PCX's short maintenance interval could indicate that the scooter was not intended for the kind of high-mileage use contemplated by the OP. 8000 mile intervals on the Forza 300. It's why I chose it over the Kawasaki J300.

Anyone know the dates of the first two recalls? I've just bought a UK 2014 model and would be interested to know if any recalls have been done on it.
