Muffs
Does anyone use them? Recommended? Do they get in the way much? I'm a bit bothered that I'll lose control scratching my nose.

Re: Slip Sliding Away ... Which Tire/Tyre
I'm afraid this poll is flawed. As mentioned on the other one, scoots come with tyres on. It follows that whatever the stock tyres are will feature more in the results.

Looked at the £15 battery charger/maintainers in Lidl and accepted that I don't need one.

Re: USA Forza Recall on Electrical System
My Forza is 15 months old and coming up to 7k miles. No problems whatsoever.
Same for the Vision which I had previously and rode 6k miles through the winter. Absolutely faultless.

Re: Rear Shocks
Just bought a new 2014. Put 600k on it so far. When I round a moderate corner going 100+km the rear end slips a lot. Just little slips but enough that I don't like it. Is it that the stock shocks suck or do I need to adjust the tension? I come in at 180 and they are at the stock tension - whatever ...

I've just ordered a Scootsmart from mytyre for £41. My mate fits them for £15. Fowlers wanted £40 just to fit a tyre.

When I've done this on a bike I've made up a mini-loom to go between the rear light socket and the loom plug. That way the loom remains undamaged
Re: HJC IS-17
One of the vent covers on the top of mine has just blown off. :-(
Re: HJC IS-17
Yes it does, but you have to have it width-ways and right at the back.gn2 wrote:XL, fits OK under Forza seat in front section so should fit in rear but not tried it there yet.

Re: Tire Pressure?
On a right-hand drive car, the outside of the nearside tyre will wear more quickly than the right. It's not about pressure, but camber and cornering.
I'd be interested to see what evidence suggests that fatter, lower-pressure bike tyres make you faster. Hadn't we better tell the Tour riders?

Re: Do I need a new battery?
A good condition battery should not self-discharge to the point of being no use over several months - if a battery goes that bad in a short period it's not a great battery to start with - assuming the charging circuit and connections are all fine. The PCX battery should last for many years not just...

Re: Shad SH45 on a Forza
Only a few days in, and the Shad is proving itself to be so much better than my Givis. More sturdy, stable, locks on more reassuringly, and doesn't need foam stuck to the base to stop it rattling (there are rubber stoppers on the base).
