Re: Oxford heated grips

I decided in the end to order these.

http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... rod/214981

Seem to have good reviews and works out similar price once I factored in fitting.

Re: Oxford heated grips

I wondered if there were any difference in terms of fitment between the sports, adventure and touring versions?

Oxford heated grips

Well its getting chilly here in the UK, so I am looking to have some heated grips installed. The local bike shop will fit them for me, but I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the oxford heated grips? Do they fit and are they any good?. Any issues with battery? http://www.sportsbike...

Changing brake pads - PCX 125 2013

Evening,

I am wanting to change the front pads on my scoot as I remove the front wheel to get the tire changed. I was wondering how difficult is it?. Do I just take the caliper off and the pads fall out or are they fixed in, in some way?

Thanks in advance

Re: Upcoming MOT

Hmm, I have put on the racing collector, which doesn't have a cat rather than the street legal catalytic converter down pipe. The exhaust is street legal I believe, but I am wondering if the addition of the racing collector may fail the test. I am not adverse to fitting the old exhaust but I no long...

Upcoming MOT

Evening everyone,

My scoot is due its first mot (UK) in September and wondered if I will have to put the standard exhaust back on? I currently have the arrow reflex 2.0 with the db killer in. Will they fail the bike with a louder exhaust than standard?

Re: Just rollers vs complete variator

I also wondered if lighter rollers would increase the rpm into the sweet spot on my pcx 125, over the need for a aftermarket variator. However, after researching I decided to plump for the mallossi multivar 2000 with malossi belt. I also purchased the full arrow exhaust system. The difference is mar...

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!

It just all seems a little gung ho for me and a case of try it and see what happens kind of philosophy. I use the scoot as my main point of transport and need rock solid reliability as well. I don't like the idea of putting in simple water, as in the UK, the block will split straight away as soon as...

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!

And is there any issue with them overheating in general? Do you have to modify the cooling system?

Re: Pcx Yuminashi Chainsaw 164!

I wondered if anyone had any reliability info on this setup?. I am keen to carry out the mods, but if it needs rebuilding every few thousand miles, I wont bother, especially when the Honda unit is so reliable!

Re: Malossi multivar 2000

TBH, pretty straight forward. The only tricky bit was getting the nut off the clutch to get the torque spring in, but otherwise straight forward. I put a new belt in as well. If you follow the guides on here it shouldn't be a problem.

Malossi multivar 2000

So just finished installing the Malossi multivar 2000 variator on my 2013 pcx 125. First impressions are good. The revs are a lot higher, but it seems to be right in the powerband compared to the original variator. I also installed the yellow spring in the clutch, using the 10.5 grams rollers. The o...

Re: Pressure washers

Never heard of ACF-50 before, sounds good. I have heard horror stories of commercial pressure washers but wasn't sure of domestic ones. I bought a £4.99 spray extension for the old hosepipe instead.

Pressure washers

Happy new year everyone :D , I wondered if anyone uses a pressure washer to clean their bike. I am not talking about the commercial ones you can use at the petrol station but one like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/K%C3%A4rcher-Car-Air-Cooled-Pressure-Washer/dp/B00CUFP77Y/ref=sr_1_13?s=outdoors&i...

PCX 125 standard rpm

Hello, Can anyone tell me what a standard pcx 125's rpm is when it is pulling (new rollers and belt) and also what is the optimum rpm for the 125 (any graphs would be great!)? Also what is the difference between an aftermarket variator with the same diameter pulling at say 8k rpm vs the standard var...
