Need Help with Non-Honda Scooter Please!

A few years ago, I bought a "Lambretta" UNO150, actually it is a re-branded Adly Noble from Taiwan sold by Maharaja Motors, live and learn. Anyway it ran fine for awhile if somewhat lame. Then I got my Forza, and gave the fake Lambretta to my son, who didn't like it, so it has just sat for...

Re: Left over, new, 2014 Forzas availiable

To Pat Anderson, Did you pay that silly introductory really high price that the Forza had when it came out? I am pleading the Fifth Amendment on that one! ("I refuse to answer on the grounds that my answer may tend to incriminate me.") It seemed like a good idea at the time. I had to wait...

Re: Left over, new, 2014 Forzas availiable

Unfortunately its a three year old scooter by the book? Why not wait for a new one of current year Because 2014 can be had NEW for $2999 in USA if you look around? I would be very interested to see where you think you can get a new 2014 Forza for $2,999 in the US. Post a link to some dealer with th...

Re: Great Afternoon with MikeP (Mike Pope) in Nanaimo, BC

Ouch! I said "29A" but it actually is 19A, for the factually inclined...BTW, we arrived home in Birch Bay today, it was a fabulous scoot, covering 564 miles, highly recommend it to anyone who can do it! Two things, Patty discovered she can scoot 70 miles / 2 hours per day and enjoy it, and...

Re: Great Afternoon with MikeP (Mike Pope) in Nanaimo, BC

Never been there and, actually, never even heard of it, but from what I can see of it on google images it looks like a wonderful place to visit on a scooter. Nanaimo is a fairly substantial city, over 80,000, and just one of the more scenic places in the world! Actually, all of Vancouver Island is!...

Great Afternoon with MikeP (Mike Pope) in Nanaimo, BC

Patty and I are more or less in the middle of our Vancouver Island adventure scooter trip (we of the picnic cooler saddle bags!), and we are back in Nanaimo today, MikeP's stomping grounds. Anyway, we hooked up with Mike, who is a heck of a nice guy, and his daughter Adele, shortly after Mike got of...

Re: An I too old?

Age is a combination of state of mind and state of health! Patty and I turn 70 (August and November) this year. She just started riding last year. We are planning a multi-day trip up Vancouver Island on our scoots. You have received good advice, check with your doc if you have any questions healthwi...

Re: Carrying a dog

I'd love to give Baxter a ride, but anything from Givi will be too expensive! Maybe I could get Patty working on a dog carrier! He is a very manageable 15 lbs. Don't know how he would tolerate riding, but the only thing he wants is to always be within two feet of one or the other of us! This is a pi...

Re: Should I just stick with premium fuel?

In WA State, I believe the only place to get ethanol free is at the marina stations. Actually, all the Whatcom Farmers Co-op stores sell a mid-grade that is ethanol free. That is where we fuel the scoots and our boat. There are also quite a few other places, but they can be hard to find. There is a...

Re: Our Homebrew Saddlebag Solution!

No sideview pix for until some time next week at the earliest, we are in Okanogan visiting our granddaughters (and their parents, but the kids are the main attraction). We looked at the Scooter Logic bags on on Amazon, but Patty said "I can make bags like those for half the cost." And she ...

Re: 2015 Forza vs 2014 Suzuki Burgman 200

I have a 2014 Forza with 2500 miles i bought new in October 2013. I probably overpaid, but what else is new. I don't know anything about reliability issues, never had a problem. It is a bit big and heavy for me (5'9" and not going to disclose my weight!), and since my wife rides a PCX150, I got...

Re: Our Homebrew Saddlebag Solution!

Well! Will ya Look at That! Like Checkers!! But, not really. Maybe a silly question, but where will your Patty be sitting? It looks a wee bit crowded. Strap her and the rest tightly, then off you go. Have Fun, be safe, post back with happy stories! 8) Patty will be sitting on her own PCX150, a red ...

Our Homebrew Saddlebag Solution!

Patty and I are getting ready for a five day Vancouver Island scoot in July! I would prefer going for a longer time and going farther, but Patty has really come a long way just agreeing to do this sort of test ride! Anacortes to Sydney (staying day 1 in Victoria), day 2 Victoria to Nanaimo, day 3 Na...

OK, that is a great big "Aha"! Got it now! Turn the hooks flat so they slip under the seat, then turn them up and they work great!

Re: Recommended & approved product links... revised

The net advertised is wrapped and hooked under the seat, something that took me a few minutes to fashion. To be clear, your question, will the hooks meet the edge of the seat... 'NO' and you wouldn't want that anyway to avoid friction wear and marring finishes on the precious. I can put up a pictur...

Re: Recommended & approved product links... revised

Homie...do the hooks on the cargo net on Amazon that you recommend actually fit over the underside of the PCX150? I bought a cargo net from Amazon, looks similar but the hooks do not fit, can't attach net to scooter!
