Re: Another "I've just had my first accident" post :(

In principle I have to agree with djcat recomendation of reading material. Now I don't know what the criteria for bike safe is, with regards to what size bike they recomend on to their courses. I have a feeling they need to be able to consistently travel at NSL and or motorway limits. Certainly I do...

Re: Another "I've just had my first accident" post :(

Sorry to hear of your accident. At least you got out of it relatively unscathed. Bikes can be repaired or replaced, bodies cannot. Sounds like you went a touch to fast into the bend, in your panic your vision became 'locked' on the grass verge, so that is where you went with the bike! If you had loo...

Thought I'd give the instructions a go, It would appear that the pics I have in my folders still need to be resized though as the pixels of my first choice pic was too big?

Re: From hot Florida to the coldest North Cape on motorbike

All bikes are good Beg to differ, most of them are utterly shite. As has been stated elsewhere on here, each to hid own. What makes a good bike to me might be a piece od sh*£e to someone else. Each one of us is an individual and have widely differing perceptions of which bikes we like or don't like...

Re: From hot Florida to the coldest North Cape on motorbike

Those pc800s look like excellent bikes. We can only get them as imports or the next best alternative, the dullville. Never understood why Honda didn't develop the concept Imagine it modernized, fuel injected and auto Don't ever call yjr Deauville dull unless you have ridden one!! The Deau can keep ...

Re: New member

Hi and welcome to this forum. I have the NT (we call the Deauville over here in the UK) I also have the PCX for local commuting runs. I can state for a fact that the Shoei Multitec will NOT fit under the seat (This is my helmet of choice too!) The Helmet will fit in Honda's offering for a top box (c...

This sounds normal to me, if you invest in the pin;ock system that will help.

Re: new member

And also disconnected the Speedo to keep the mileage down and make for cheaper servicing while under warranty period Not sure that's a good idea. Nothing against you, but it seems kinda dishonest. I'm only being dishonest to Honda motor corporation, they won't miss me not turning up for a couple of...

Visorvision anti fogging solution

For UK members, I bought some of this stuff the other day http://www.visorvision.co.uk/shop/index.php?cPath=25 I can vouch that the stuff does work very well indeed on my glasses. I've not had them fogging over once, in the last 3 days, where before if I stopped at lights or for any reason, if I did...

Re: What a washout!

Well done for getting out there in this weather. As for the visor fogging up, try this stuff http://www.visorvision.co.uk/shop/index.php?cPath=25 It does work very well, I bought a bottle of it the other day, used it on my glasses (Visor has pinlock) and so far they have not misted over yet even wit...

for the sake of the cost, change it, not worth the risk of something happening if the tyre gives up +1 to this comment, it really isn't worth the risk. I don't think he is considering reusing it but rather asking how it happened? Fair comment. It can be almost impossble to say what caused the split,...

Re: First ride on my PCX....

I've never seen it in real life, but it seems pretty scary to me too. I'm sure there must have been a less ridiculous method of keeping traffic moving - everywhere else seems to manage it... Yep seen it and done it real life, bloody football ground right next to it!! I've been there a couple of tim...

Re: First ride on my PCX....

Congratulation on passing your CBT, Enjoy your self on the PCX and ride safe. Don't let the drivers intimidate you into going faster than you feel you want/need to!! In the same token though don't ride in too close to the curbside either as that'll invite some plank into a none safe overtake of you!...
