Re: PCX "Strapons"
Are there any photos ? Thank you. This was my first attempt: https://scontent-syd1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtf1/v/t1.0-9/11206010_925719274116920_7979809602568093588_n.jpg?oh=12e316040ecdd773d632459aa3d0b4cd&oe=56EB4BCF Since then I've left the Givi box on and turned big ones like this around 90...

PCX "Strapons"
Hi folks, I made a discovery a few months ago concerning my PCX. I'm sure most of you already know this, but thought I'd just post it on the off-chance it helps someone. The PCX has - of course - seat space behind the guy up-front with the grin, for a pillion passenger. And either side of that part ...

Re: 2014 PCX 150 - speed for best economy
Thanks everyone.
In the absence of an onboard computer I'm also going to collect a bit of data as to how much fuel is remaining as each segment of the display changes - should be able to use that to work out if I need to back off the throttle at all on some of my longer runs.

Re: 2014 PCX 150 - speed for best economy
It might be worth keeping a bit of extra fuel in an appropriate container secured under the seat if you have space. At least that way you won't be stuck if you run out. Unfortunately ... when I'm on a photo mission I usually have the underseat - givi box - and pack maxed out. I have had a lot of su...

Re: 2014 PCX 150 - speed for best economy
Thanks for that - is that based on the onboard economy meter (which I think the 2015 model has)?Eiron wrote:My 2015 seems to get the best fuel economy between 30-35 mph.

2014 PCX 150 - speed for best economy
Hi Folks, I've been doing some longer trips on my PCX (several tanks in a day) and have noted with interest how the range per tank seems to drop off quite dramatically when full throttle into the wind for an extended period of time. So much so that at times I've started to get a little concerned abo...

Re: Overcharge for fitting of heated grips on 2014 PCX?
You agreed to use them but your problem was not getting a quote first. On top of that, who told you that an auto mechanic would know more about a motorcycle than a motorcycle mechanic? I am not a mechanic and yet it would take me probably a couple of hours to do the job. An auto mechanic will have ...

Overcharge for fitting of heated grips on 2014 PCX?
Hi Folks, I purchased a pair of Daytona heated grips online for my 2014 PCX - they came from a Honda dealer in a different part of the country. I probably could have installed them myself but I assumed that an auto electrician would do a better job - so made the booking and then had the work carried...

Re: Ignition Left On Reminder?
There was a thread a while back about the hard-to-latch seat. It seems that sometimes there is misadjustment out of the factory. Check out http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1329&p=58696&hilit=seat+latch#p58696 A few moments with a 10 mm wrench appears to do wonders. Your propo...

Re: Ignition Left On Reminder?
Argh. Typed out a long reply on my iPhone - sand fly landed on the screen - hit it to squish it - got the back button - lost the lot :( Ok - from the top, again. Thanks for the replies folks - all interesting ideas - just none working overly well with the way things work best for me :( Ideally I'd l...

Re: Ignition Left On Reminder?
Thanks - possibly my best option so far.
I just can't believe that there isn't an electronic gizmo on eBay for $30 that does what I need though.

Re: Ignition Left On Reminder?
Thanks - it's something I thought about too (due to my hobby I have a lot of these kinds of things), but it's not ideal for a couple of reasons: 1. I'm still leaving keys in the bike, which means if I do it enough times someone will probably just steal it, and 2. I really don't have the space to spa...

Um - very simply ...

Ignition Left On Reminder?
Argh. For the 2nd time in about a month I've had to do the "walk of shame" and push my PCX back to base to recharge the battery because I've left it switched on accidentally. Does anyone know of any devices that I can buy that would give me some kind of audible warning? eg beep if "ig...

Re: Servicing 2014 PCX - Dealer or Do It Myself?
So change the oil then. Funnily enough my biggest challenge is proving to be finding a place that has the "darn" oil - I had no idea it would be this difficult -- seems all the regular places only have car oil - and those that have motorcycle products have their own brand that I can't ver...

Re: Servicing 2014 PCX - Dealer or Do It Myself?
There's a how to guide to valve check and dismantling the panels on this forum and a complete set of video's by Homie on YouTube for the new 2015 model - take your time taking panels off, and it's not that tricky to do it (in theory). Thanks for that. I had a look at a few of them - probably someth...

Thanks folks. I had a look in a couple of Shell shops today -- no dice so far. Will keep looking (on and off-line).
Many thanks again,
Cheers,
Colin
