Re: So glad I went for the PCX 125 rather than the Vision 11

I was initially torn between PCX and a SH125i before finally coming down in favour of the PCX, mainly because it looked more like a motorbike than a scooter. At the dealership they had a Vision parked next to a PCX which was next to a SH mode. I just could not get excited looking at the Vision 110. ...

Re: Tools and technique for safely removing the front screen

Thanks for that. Honda wanted about £120 to fit the new screen, which was only £13 off my PCX's 600 mile service with valve clearance check! Having said that I didn't want to do anything silly potentially costing more than Honda to fit the screen in the first place.

Tools and technique for safely removing the front screen?

I've just bought a H2C sport touring windscreen for my 2015 PCX125. I've removed the 2 front screws from the original screen, but need some advise on releasing the trim clips at the side of the front grille panel (above the LED lights). 1) What tools would you recommend to safely ease front grille p...

Re: Steering lock on - ignition key shunter closed problem

Your shutter shouldn't be pinging back though how you described it? No you're right - it shouldn't. It happened automatically after I turned the wheel to the left, key position over to lock and the moment I removed the key from the ignition slot the shutter automatically closed shut! The shutter wo...

Steering lock on - ignition key shunter closed problem

Has anyone come across this problem. After turning the wheel to the left and putting the ignition key in the LOCK position, the ignition key shutter closed! Now I cannot insert the key into the ignition key slot to unlock the steering because the shutter does not operate as normal, if I turn the shu...

Re: Finally, Fonda Da Honda is beautiful once again.

You've done a fantastic repair job on your PCX. Hard to believe it ever suffered a crash. You must be delighted with the end result. Must be a great feeling having it back to former glory?

Well done

Second is a small negative but still a negative.
I'm sure some owners of the earlier PCX models have since fitted a 12 volt accessory socket so you could probably do the same on the NMAX. Just a thought.

So sorry to hear this. Hope you get well soon and recover fully from your injuries. Unfortunately this is all too common these days. This is now the third incident I've heard concerning a car driver driving into the back of a stopped motorcycle/scooter within the last few months alone. Be careful ou...

Re: Warranty - Diy service or let dealer do it?

Just had the first 600 mile service done by the supplying Honda dealer. Including the valve check (confirmed on the service bill) it came to £132. I didn't think that was too bad. The technician also confirmed that the valves were within spec.

Re: PCX125 buzzing sound, very annoying

Out of interest does the SH125i suffer from the dreaded rattle? When I finally decided to buy the PCX it was after months of debating the pros and cons between the PCX and the SH125i. I went for the PCX purely because it looked so much more motorbike than obvious scooter. I had considered buying a S...

You misunderstand my post Iceman, I am not bragging I am calming Honda Cubs fears that the PCX is flawed. Their is no perfect creation on Earth ( bar Columbo ) I admit I am concerned that the 2015 125 engine might have a serious issue. So far I've read crankshaft replacement and I believe bearing r...

having it for 5 weeks and striping the engine and replacing the crankshaft..... o_O Is there a serious flaw on the 2015 125 engine on the PCX? Just of late I have read quite a few posts concerning rattles and buzzing noises at relatively low mileages affecting the 2015 model which I have. All rathe...

Re: Hi all! New here... few questions about the PCX UK

How long is the warranty from UK Honda? 2 years I understand that the first service is at 600 miles but what are the service intervals after that? 2500 miles intervals how much are they averaging in cost? (London / Surrey area) ? I was quoted by one salesman of around £200ish including doing valves...

Factory honda pcx125 manual?

I'm struggling to find a factory manual for PCX125 (2015 model), the PCX150 (2013-2015) factory manual is readily available but strangely not the 125 manual.

Are there many differences between the two models apart from obvious engine enlargement?

Would a 150 manual be ok as a rough guide?

Re: Warranty - Diy service or let dealer do it?

Dealer has quoted me £70 to do the first 600 mile service and told me it is pretty much just an oil change, no mention of valve check as per Honda schedule! How does one stand warranty wise should in the unlikely event something go wrong with the engine and the valve check has not been performed by ...

Warranty - Diy service or let dealer do it?

I've just bought a brand new Honda PCX125 which comes with a 2 year warranty. As you know the maintenance schedule insists that the valves are checked/adjusted at 600 miles and 2500 mile intervals thereafter. Most Honda dealers seem to charge anywhere between £200 to £300 pounds to do servicing work...
