headlight/fairing question

Hi folks, Recently had work done by dealer and just noticed a gap between headlight and offside fairing. Haven't really got the time to take it back if its something I can remedy. I've tried a bit of pressure to see if it'll pop back but no go. Anyone able to advise how I can gain access to the inna...

Re: Economy

If you reset the trip meter often it will fluctuate more. The higher the trip mileage the less the av mpg will go up and down.

Re: Johnson's Pledge furniture wax spray

Thumbs up for Mr Sheen. Also try Soft Soap for general washing. A mild degreaser usually used to wash paintwork prior to painting. Quid a bottle from Home Bargains. (In UK)

Re: cold start problem

Final update. Ecu replaced, guess what? Yep same. Turns out it was valve clearances, or lack of. So.....those of us who may have neglected to check em cos we've read on net that "dealers dont check em unless summat's wrong" I've learnt my lesson. Scoot now starts properly and stays started...

Re: Hit 10,000 miles PCX150 odometer

60m a day commute. Had mine since march this year (new) and now almost on 9000m. How it'll stand up to daily use/abuse who knows? I'll continue to service myself. It's cheap enough innit? How easy is it to change the belt? Do I have to change rollers too? I sold my 1150gs with 132000m on it. Most of...

Re: cold start problem

Quick update. Fuel injector replaced but a new fault code showed up. Rather than wait an hour for engine to cool down before checking cold start they cleared the fault and said to test it. They did say if still a prob then they'd replace main ecu. Well, next morning full of hope, press the button......

Re: cold start problem

Ok, diagnostic machine reports an injector fault so waiting for a phone call when they have the parts. It's a big job apparently, all the back end has to come off. The plug looked normal, maybe a little lean. Anyway lets hope it's sorted soon.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Re: cold start problem

Hi guys. I'd tend to agree re some sensor fault maybe. After less than a mile its warm and doesnt happen. Just annoying. Always a problem trying to synch dealer availability with my own but will try new plug over weekend and post back. No check engine light seen. Only other thing possibly related is...

Re: cold start problem

Will check plug, thanks. In fact I'll treat her to a new one although she had one a couple of months ago. I do ride away immediately. It's when I get to the next junction or two that it's a pain. See a gap, go for it and .....and...fire's gone out......stop. Foot down, rear brake on, apply starter a...

Re: Oxford OF772 Heated grips.

Were they easy to fit? Do they affect idle stop? Been considering muffs as an alternative as factory fitted heated grips on my bikes were not always that effective. Freezing fingertips and red hot palms!

cold start problem

Hi folks, I know it's not cold yet but my 2015 pcx will not idle when started from cold. Not a massive issue I agree but an inconvenience nonetheless. Was fine all summer till a week ago. Starts fine but until it's warm it just dies which is a pain when first starting my journey(s). Also noticed mpg...

Re: Tires and Grip PCX 125

Tyres are definitely a personal thing. I've ridden many bikes over the last 20 yrs and found the pcx irc's fine when dry but absolutely lethal in the wet and the worst I've ever used which is why I switched to citygrips. I'd tend to agree re tarmac type possibly but there's many who are happy with t...

Re: Pcx 150 in the UK

I commute 60m daily including 20m on m62 and have no probs. Mpg has been steadily climbing since I got it new in march. Currently giving 120.9. 125 model. Saving me a lot of cash in fuel. What's not to like?

Re: Break in and increasing fuel economy

Had my 2015 pcx125 for a couple of months now, just passed 2500m on it on daily 60m commute. At first it was 85-90 mpg and has steadily increased at 1 point to 117 which is the highest I've had (this is according to the display which is apparently quite accurate). Last few weeks it hovered around 11...

Newbie alert

Hi folks, After riding various bikes for nearly 20 yrs I've recently come over to the dark side and seen the light . I only went and got a pcx! :o Bought it new last week, a few miles locally to get the feel and then plunged into my daily commute 30m each way. Half of that on motorways. This was my ...
