Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Hi - anyone tried Dr pullleys in the Forza 2018 model? Thinking of selling my old forza and getting one so interested to see how it goes with Dr pulleys. I am am presuming it uses same Sliders as the old model as it looks like it is the same engine. I've put 17g Tech Pulley sliders as bought them b...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Took the forza to the honda garage intent on trying out the 17g and 19g mix of sliders. Discovered 2 things that were probably affecting my topend with the 15g roller and 19g slider mix - its was hard to get the revs higher than 7500. The previous mechanic had put the sliders in the wrong way round ...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

So what do you think will work best. With the 15g rollers and 19g sliders very nice acceleration but struggles for top end. So do I either put in 3x 17g and 3x 19g slider mix or just 6x19g. I have a set of both.

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

I finally got round to putting 3x15gm malossi rollers with 3x19gm sliders in my Forza. Whilst the acceleration is good fun upto about 120km at about 7500 rpm showing on the dials ( unless my speedo and tach are giving me incorrect readings ) it struggles to go any higher. I thought I would get my to...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

This is a thread about sharing experiences of CVT tuning - wrong place to be stating incredible stock speeds with no mods. Post some GPS speed test videos on Youtube like Mad Max did and you will get some hits for sure.

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

No scepticism about roller/weight combinations - thats what this thread is about. You stated you had no mods and got 157 with some to spare. That to me as an owner is very high for a Forza with no mods at all. Mad max bike - bangkok could only get that with a seriously modded Forza. https://www.yout...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Stock Forza no mods apart from exaust doing 157kpm with some to spare - the only way my forza and all my friends forza's could do that stock would be if we drove them over a cliff lol.

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Haha - thats what I thought just confirming I actually understand the thread lol!. Would I be also right in thinking it will also give me back my top end as I am not going to run out of revs before I hit 140 with that mix.

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

I am now addicted to the acceleration that 6x17gm gives me so I think I will give the 6x19gm a miss lol What will be the main difference between using 3x15g rollers/3x19g slider mix and 6x17g sliders as they both have a total weight of 102gms?

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

BRed - thanks for all the info. Which setup would you recommend over my current 6x17 sliders to try first - the 6x 19gm sliders or the 3x19 sliders/3x15rollers? Thats for mainly driving locally windy roads, hills and straights with the occassional long ride where I would like my topend that I lost w...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Your graph using 6x 19gms sliders has now got me thinking -apart from higher revs you indicate it accelerates quicker than any other combo - does that apply all the way up to top speed of 85? If so what revs is it hitting at that speed. I am just wondering if it would be better just using the 6x19 w...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Thanks for all the info - its really helped the learning curve for me. I couldn't find a site to order and ship Adige carbon rollers to Thailand or UK so I ordered Malossi HT 15gm rollers as they get good reports re wear . I will go with a mix of 19gm sliders/15gm rollers and see how it performs. I ...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Looks like I can only get Malossi HT 23x18x15 or 23x18x17 delivered here when I searched online so what slider/roller mix would you recommend with either of these roller wieghts. Re sliders falling over question - having though about it I think I understand that in a slider/roller mix the heavier sl...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Haha - I hear you :D So then what mix ? 19/16 or 20/15 - which will best give me what I want. Locally I have a mix of windy flats and hills but bike rides to other places in Thailand are mainly motorways . So a mix that best suits both is what I would like but as I mainly drive locally I don't reall...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Bred - i am still running with the 17gms - great fun running locally but down to about 25-26 kpl. I notice I run above 7K on acceleration. Rather than going for a mix of sliders/rollers do you think just changing to 18gm sliders would keep my acceleration improvement , give me back my top end and im...

Re: Dr sliders 28x18x17G

Hi Termix - what were your impressions of fitting 18gm sliders re impact on acceleration/top speed. I put 17gm in my Forza 300 - great acceleration but a loss of top end. Looking to go slightly higher weight or mix sliders/rollers so any view of using higher weight sliders appreciated

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

I installed Dr Pulley 17gm sliders and moving parts and the Forza pulls like a train upto 120 kph at about 7.5K revs at that point. Goes upto about 130-135 max slowly after that. I have rechecked the variator and all sliders installed correctly. I am thinking maybe mixing 17/18gm sliders (total 105g...
