Re: How cold will you ride?
Ah. Someone brought up a good point that riding gear and motorcycles should be colour coordinated anyway. Predominantly one or two colour schemes works best, like what you have -- red and black. This is simple for drivers to see, perceive, and react accordingly. Three colours can also work if the co...

Re: where can you park a scooter
It's common everywhere. It's 1-2% of the population, but it's a problem when only 1-2% of the parking spaces are designated handicap spaces.

Looks great! Is that just a visibility vest you're wearing on top of a riding jacket?

Re: Today's Quick Pic
My commute would involve up to 24km or 16 miles on a 80 to 90km/h or 50 to 55 mph limit city freeway, much like what Valiant posted up on his Youtube channel. During non rush hour, the general flow of traffic flows at up to 10km/h above the limit. But in rush hour, the HOV lane in which I am permitt...

Re: where can you park a scooter
Sometimes I find some great spots by the entrance like between the red concrete balls at Target, or in an obscure place between structural columns where people would not normally walk. I parked at Costco today in a wide walkway in line with a bollard to the side. Then my office building has designat...

8) two up  What color is that... metallic beige? ?? Me likey. Bright bronze metallic. Definitely a lot more subdued from the brown that's shown on Honda Canada's website, just as Candy Noble Red is more of a metallic crimson than the brilliant red shown on their website. It's too bad they don'...

Re: Headlight Upgrades
I got H11 22W LEDs for my dad's Prius. They do throw out more light than halogens, but they err too much on the side of safety so they throw more light in the foreground to reduce glare for oncoming drivers. I haven't seen HS1 LEDs yet suitable for headlight duty, but the H4 LEDs may work with a bit...

Re: ANOTHER PCX
It's definitely not Forza brilliant red. It's more subdued with a metallic hint to it, almost maroon/crimson.I honestly can't recall for some reason as I like the metallic bronze PCX's better, but t's more classy than sporty. I have a brilliant red BWS 50 right now and maybe it's the size but there'...

Re: How cold will you ride?
Amazon has an excellent return policy. They process a refund as soon as the courier scans the return package. So that's an option. I live about half an hour from the border so I often shop from the US Amazon site which has better selection of motorcycle and auto parts with faster shipping and lower ...

+1 on the belts and rollers. Also, have you cleaned or replaced the air filter and checked the tire pressure?

Re: Helmet/Phone interface/headset kit Bluetooth
Here's a good video showing the difference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICjcN9rZuhk I don't think my SMH10 is perfect. I would've loved the FM radio. I also had one instance where the SMH10 unit unclipped itself from the helmet mount at a stop light while I flipped up my modular helmet to take a...

Re: not breaking engine in gently: what are negatives?
I hear nowadays that one should just drive or ride nearly as hard as what they plan to do. The break in period used to be necessary back in the days but I think it's become subjective enough that they can just view the manufacturer's recommendation as just that, a recommendation. The content in the ...

Excellent! Beaverton is a few degrees warmer on average than where I am north up the I-5 on the Canadian side of the border. With the right gear you can definitely ride year round. Happy riding!

Re: How cold will you ride?
Thanks all. I inherited my HJC modular helmet from the person I bought my BWS from, so I don't even know what model number it is. I do plan on upgrading my gear before hitting freeway speeds. A balaclava would be nice, and I keep clear and shaded protective glasses in my scooter at all times for whe...

Re: Helmet/Phone interface/headset kit Bluetooth
I love my Sena SMH-10. Would love the new 20S though which has Bluetooth 4.0 and an FM Radio. There is the SMH-5 FM as well but it has weaker speakers (you can get SMH-10 speakers for it) and can only intercom with one other user at a time (probably not a huge issue for most riders).

Re: How cold will you ride?
I don't own a PCX 150 yet but a Yamaha BWS (Zuma) 50 while I work on getting my Motorcycle license. Anyway, the coldest I've ridden in was -6C / 22F. Clear conditions save for a bit of frost. There were a couple of days I left the scooter home and drove to work instead when there was thick ice on th...
