Re: Tire Pressure

About valve mounted pressure indicators - a number of years ago I had some similar indicators on a BMW K100. They worked fine - until some road debris cracked the clear plastic cover on the indicator. Granted, that may be a rare thing to happen - but once it does your tire will go flat. Be prepared!!

Rear tire - rude surprise

Out for a ride yesterday, and had this happen on the way home.

Let out some air and limped home. Tire was stock Dunlop - 5 years old with 10,900 km.

Plenty of tread left but.....

MCG2 is ordered, one day delivery.

Re: Wind Screen 2020

My PCX is a 2015. Not sure if your bike takes a different screen than the older models. You might start at one of the larger Honda dealers in your area. I got my windscreen in Chiangmai - for $29 USD. https://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4551&p=64416#p64416 "This is a windscreen...

Re: Rain Gear

Any raingear that is "waterproof/breathable" has pores that are smaller than water drops but let water vapor out. If you are sitting on a wet seat water can be forced through those pores.

Two suggestions

Use Cat Crap on your visor - inside and out

Get some gloves with a built in sgueegee or add something like this

Re: I'm usually averaging around 88mpg. Is this normal?

"As said above imperial gallon (UK) is 8 pints US gallon is 6pints, divide yours by 3 then multiply by 4 you'll see you're getting over 120mpg (using your 92 figure)" Not really. US gallon is 8 pints, UK gallon is 9.608 pints Conversion factor is 1.201 - so 92 miles per US gallon is 110.5 ...

I put a Givi 45 litre box on mine - wanted to hold two helmets. Looks fine.

Re: When the fuel gauge starts to blink..

Another old VW story. Many years ago, a friend was driving one on the PA Turnpike, and ran out of gas about 2 miles from a service plaza. Since there would be a very expensive fee to bring him gas, he poured in a bottle of 100 proof Old Grand Dad bourbon. That got him the two miles to get gas. He sa...

Re: PCX the USA from one end to the other anyone?

I did read an article in a motorcycling magazine back in the 70s. The writer had just completed a cross country ride on a Honda 50, staying on 2 lane roads. The magazine name escapes me now. What I can remember is that he took a southern route - Florida to California - to avoid any high mountain cro...

Service in Thailand - 8000 km and 2 year service

Just had the 8000 km service, as well as the extra items that get done every two years. New spark plug New fluids - engine oil, rear drive oil, radiator, brake fluid Total cost at the Honda dealer - 853.91 baht - about $27 USD Probably what a US dealer would charge you just to wheel the bike into th...

I wanted a similar setup for a TDM900 that I have here - so I had a machine shop modify the existing bar end. Cost was about $15.

Re: Added a top box

Jim I have a similar mounting plate and top box on a bike in Thailand (not my PCX). You will find that the metal hook and latch will start to loosen up and the box will rattle. I tried using some foam rubber to make small donuts around the metal hook. That worked for a while. I eventually ran a coup...

Size depends on what you want to carry. I went with a Givi 45 Litre because I wanted space for 2 helmets. http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6154&p=85116&hilit=thailand#p85116 The Honda rack only works with the Honda box. Mine is a 2015. As you can see, once you install the moun...

Question - if you have anything in the under seat compartment, wouldn't a motion sensor light be activated every time you hit a bump in the road?
