Re: After pump repairs & PCX valves

You have a great dealer to do that - send the repair to you. Sadly mechanics at dealers are often bad at it. I once saw a Ford mechanic slam the hood of a pick up after replacing the radiator. This was after he put the top radiator panel on backwards. He ended up driving the latch through the hood. ...

Re: Anyone servicing their Forza?

And sticky calipers and leaky waterpump mechanical seals and short legroom. I had not heard of the "sticky calipers" or "leaky waterpump" problems - were these recalled or simply issues some are having? I have not had the chance to sit on one yet but in looking at it I think it ...

Re: Got "Morphed"

I will be honest - I HATE the looks of the Morphous{same goes for the Honda Helix - same concept}. To me they look like someone put a scooter in a car smasher but stopped halfway. I don't like riding feet forward so that makes them worse in my mind. But if you like it and it works for you then have ...

Re: Anyone servicing their Forza?

One of the reasons I am looking at the Forza is that service should be easier, cheaper and less often then my Burgman. I too check to see what if any complaints come up on the Forza. So far the only thing seems to be the seat strut issue{and the fuel pump which Honda did a recall on}.

Re: That seat 'opener damper'

Seeing how Honda mounted it I can see why you all are having issues - it is too close to the hinge! Fish figured that out by looking at what other scoots have. My Burg has it's strut mounted very similarly to the picture above{except on the other side}. Not sure how to mount, or if there is room, bu...

Re: That seat 'opener damper'

I can't see the strut in any photos of the Forza, where is it? As Dio suggested I bet a better unit would solve the problem. Of coarse if you want to go cheap and simple then get a wooden dowel, about an inch in diameter and cut it to length. I had a truck on a car I had to do that to after I added ...

If the shocks can be taken apart then you can cut the spring.3mm is a very small amount. That amount could be simply ground off the ends rather than actually cutting the spring. Perhaps that is what he meant? Cutting a spring does have a down side and that is the spring is weaker{spring rate}. Not ...

Re: Forza Shocks

Can the stock shocks be taken apart? Most factory shocks can't. The YSS shock might be adjustable to a lower position than stock. http://www.powerbyforza.com/boutique-tag-accessoires_yss.html I have seen lowering mounts on Forzas from Thailand. The part must exist but where to fit it, I don't know. ...

Awesome piloting! Got it down with no damage so that is a great landing. A good landing can have damage to the plane but with everyone walking away.

The camera's frame rate makes the props look like they are barely turning!

Re: Forza seat piston

I can tell you that it isn't just the Forza's strut that has problems. The one on my 2006 Burgman 400 doesn't work that great. I have to pull the seat all the way up or it won't hold. It also does not like the cold{which makes sense because it is hydraulic}. An option to waiting on Honda is to simpl...

By "piston" I assume you mean the strut that holds the seat up when open. I also assume that your's has failed.

Re: Why you shouldn't just let your friends teach you to rid

I say you are right on the "too big to learn on" part. But I wonder how fast she was going to have been killed from head trauma even with a helmet. Of coarse it might have been the wrong size helmet or one of those skull cap types that offer little protection.

Re: I tend to believe that something is not right

If the belt is new then that probably isn't the problem. The wrong size belt {too short or too long} could also cause vibration but that would also affect the performance. It might be a roller that is messed up or a loose variator. If the noise is very loud it really should be checked out to find th...

Re: I tend to believe that something is not right

How old is the belt? Old rubber gets hard and I have seen/heard old belts making noise similar to what you describe. The extra stiff belt vibrates while under hard acceleration and makes noise against the variator plates and/or rear pulleys. My Burgman 400 has this problem with it's 9 year old but l...

Re: Should I just stick with premium fuel?

There isn't one manual. Different manuals exist for different markets. This is why it is essential to use the fuel listed in the manual which was supplied with the scooter. True but I have seen manuals for the USA only list RON and others show both but not really explain the difference. I looked bu...

Re: Should I just stick with premium fuel?

Does the manual say 91 AKI or 91 RON? I bet it is 91 RON which is regular and not premium. Many foreign brands list the fuel grade in RON since most of the world uses that. AKI is the better rating system BTW. Using a higher octane of fuel than needed will not hurt your engine but it will cost more ...

Re: Looking at getting a Forza!

The economy meter combined with trip meter gives a very accurate indication of how far you can go. Fuel gauge is merely decorative. I know that one! My Burgman is the same way, the only time it is truthful about how much gas is right after filling the tank to the rim, it reads full! The range is al...
