BMW C600 Sport
So our weather has been really cold and today -40 with wind chill. Yesterday I decide to do what any weather bound person would do. I go looking at bikes - lol. For a while I have been thinking about a second set of wheels because............. So I look at the usual suspects of TMax, Burgman and BMW...

It's not being brought into North America for at least 2015 according to company rep.

Re: NC750x DCT
The only DCT transmission we get in Canada is the NM4. Some brain surgeon at Honda Canada does not like larger scooters or DCT transmissions on bikes.

I should hire you to pimp my ride! It's a relatively minor point but Honda for a fairly small sum could just make our rides a bit more interesting. Great job in raising the looks to another level.

Re: 2014 HONDA GROM
It would be great to take the motorcycle safety course or drivers exam with. :) When I did rider training last year, there were I think 5 Groms in a mixture of 20 or so bikes to train on. The others were all CBR125 bikes. So yes, some folks did train and get their G2 Ontario, Canada graduated licen...

Re: Givi Monokey vs Monolock
I became a GP customer when I lived in Mississauga. Still a haul across Toronto. Bought 2 bikes, several helmets, etc. there. Good folks. I wish they still sold scooters. Scooters a tough sell in Canada and several brands like Honda and BMW have cut back on models they sell here. Toronto surprises ...

Re: Givi Monokey vs Monolock
jon_l - I am really sorry but I am not much help on the PCX as my scoot is the Forza. I am likely wrong but I didn't think Givi made a Monokey plate for the PCX. I am sure someone here will however correct me and say one or there is a workaround of some kind. On the Forza it was about 20 min to dril...

Re: Kymco 2015 Downtown 300i and Xciting 500i
Unless I missed it, nobody has mentioned the TMAX (especially the new 2015) which may be the best power to weight scoot on the road bar none. I don't think BMW or Burgman are as city friendly for sure. Forza is the largest scoot Honda brings to Canada if we forget the NM4 which I looked at again in ...

Re: Ride to the Big River In Southern Missouri
Great pics and jealous of you. We still have another 6 weeks or so of true winter where you simply see no bikes of any kind out. Temperatures are close to -20 on average and too much ice to even think of riding.

Re: On Board Cameras
While ease of mounting is important I got some comments specifically for bikes from a friend who films ads for TV and uses Gopro extensively. From a viewers perspective, keeping the horizon as horizontal as possible is important. Generally a helmet mounted cam or a chest mounted one is better as on ...

Re: FORZA seat lift Fix like this
I have to think Honda could have made a change for 2015 after what I hear is a very frequent warranty replacement item. My dealership mechanic said as much as 50% of the seat mechanisms are at some stage of failure on the incoming bikes for service. Of course that figure may not be the same globally...

My Honda store has already filed a warranty climate on my failing sear damper. It wasn't working well before the fuel pump visit and they said they would do it in the spring.
