Re: ATGATT or Squidding: What do YOU ride with?

Bottom line to the topic - at two big bike shows in Toronto this year so far Personal Injury Lawyers stalls/displays outnumbered bike manufacturers. So as individuals we have the right to make the choice each time we ride and understand the risks and consequences of our actions.

We shouldn't waste a second worrying about that as many say the same about our scoots. A long time ago I stopped giving a flying you know what people think - but I'm still not getting an NM4 -

NM4

At the show yesterday in town. Don't understand Honda - the NM4 had more space than anything, special lighting and dry ice effects going off every 10 minutes or so. For me mechanically I give it an 8.5-9 and style wise a 2! And I read the actual measurement of the side cases at the back internally i...

Congrats - you will have a blast on that. Would get one myself but they don't bring them into Canada. Look forward to your riding reports.

Re: What are you up to today?

Visited bike show in Toronto today. Not many scoots but main brands represented. NM4 had large crowd. Everyone that looked at it were scratching their heads and laughing at rear storage (paniers) and how little storage. Their is the guts of good bike there if only they could calm down the styling an...

Joke thread - laugh or barf!

The year is 2222 when Charlie and Maureen land on Mars after accumulating enough Frequent Flier miles. They meet a Martian couple and are talking about all sorts of things. Charlie asks if Mars has a stock market, if they have laptop computers, how they make money, etc. Finally, Maureen brings up th...

BRED - I assume the plugger is regarded as a permanent fix? In one car I had the manual described plugs as temporary but I ignored it and never had a problem.

Re: Scooters are COOL

Scooters also offer an advantage to people with disabilities. I busted my leg{shattered would be a better descriptor} a couple of years ago and have some disability in it. It is almost impossible for me to get my leg over a gas tank and shifting is difficult and even somewhat painful. A scooter sol...

Re: Break Pad Replacement

When I had my fuel pump (recall) replaced the mechanic said that calipers and seats were most of the warranty repairs and not any fuel pumps. He pulled out a warranty binder with all his paperwork and said he had repaired/replaced about 25% of what they had sold for one or the other. I have no idea ...

Re: BMW C600 Sport

Not wanting to speculate about any other brand, I can say that my used Burgman 400 had no problems or recalls. It was extremely easy to take apart. No screws. Instead it had push clips like the battery compartment door on the pcx 150 has. Panels came off so quickly that doing a tuneup was a snap. I...

Did you get the Highline Package? They are really packed with features. I like the brake is deployed when you put the side stand down. Yes got that package of heated seats and grips plus tire pressure monitors as part of the price. Am sure I will use the heated seats but grips are the biggest deal ...

Re: BMW C600 Sport

The engines I read are Kymco so I would think them reliable. Yes BMW gave them the specs and asked them to build an engine for them. They already made some other BMW bike engines I am told but I don't know which ones. The Kymco reach goes beyond their own brand and BMW I am not sure other than Kawa...

Re: BMW C600 Sport

Good luck with the BMW. They're reduced in price for a reason, they are notoriously unreliable with all manner of serious problems. They are still being sold elsewhere (outside North America) at full price so the reduction has nothing to do with reliability in general. In NA it is simply poor sales...
