Re: How a CVT works - youtube
The Daf was white, looked just like this: http://i.auto-bild.de/ir_img/1/0/2/9/0/3/4/DAF-55-Limousine-1967-1972-729x486-1c9239fa16247c34.jpg The bit earlier about the CBR300 being cheaper than the Forza made me laugh. Conventional bike gearbox is far more complex in design and costly to manufacture...

Re: Aloha from LA (again)
I try to visit twice a year or so, i got family in the airline ;) I'll let you know next time i plan on coming back. I used to drift up and down tantalus when i was in HS lol, then they started closing it at nights, for good reason. I read your broken leg thread, sorry to hear. Its a very technical ...

ATGATT or Squidding: What do YOU ride with?
All The Gear All The Time. or ATGATT. Dressing appropriately for the slide, not for the ride. One lesson I learned the hard way like most do. Squidding, riding Squid. Riding in comfortable street clothing like a t-shirt and shorts. Completely underprepared in the event of an off. Of the many urban m...

Re: jacket whatsit?
Ok... we don't want to see butt crack for sure. I will look for the rest of the outfit. If you buy the pants part of the outfit it will already have the other half of the zippered part sewn in. That little piece is for you to sew into a pair of riding pants or jeans (that doesn't already have the z...

Re: Top Box and Seating
What is the largest size Givi topcase anyone has successfully fitted to a PCX? since it mounts to the bodywork and not the frame, I'd imagine the weight limit is pretty low.

Re: The motorcyclist wave explained
Its the commonality of a passion for motorcycles and riding. which is only one of many reasons for riding, if you do not share it thats fine. Perhaps yours is only utility and commuting, another smart reason.

Re: The motorcyclist wave explained
I've never ridden anywhere in Europe, i'm not certain what riding etiquette you folks use. In the states, especially on the west coast, riders acknowledge and wave to eachother. It's a courtesty and act of comradery. Generally, riders that do group rides, events, and races, share the courtesy. This ...

Re: Slight burning smell - throttle not as responsive as usu
Hmm. possibly your CVT belt is burning away... its a long shot but i once had a VR6 that had a serpentine belt glaze in one section, causing it to squeak intermittently and eventually smell like burnt rubber under the hood for a week or so before i discovered it. If your scooter is losing power you ...

I'm from Hawaii, and live in LA. I believe that home is in the heart, and if I feel the palm trees and cool breeze in my mind, I'll never have to miss it.
Thanks!

The motorcyclist wave explained
I stumbled upon the original, and dramatic thread on accident. I found it very interesting and this has always been a big topic of discussion between groups of the two-wheeled kind. Being a motorcyclist myself and new to scooters, I thought it would be a great learning and understanding opportunity ...

Aloha from LA (again)
Hey there PCX'ers, Have been lurking around for a while while researching scooters. Finally got our 13' PCX150 used from the dealership a couple weeks ago. It will mainly be a comfort commuter and lane splitter for my lady here in Los Angeles as she starts her grad school program. I ride a Daytona 6...

Re: Heads up display for helmets
I've preordered mine, I commute, cruise, and do canyons, got a few uses in mind for it. I mostly want it for the toys obviously, feel like iron man, voice control and E-tint visor i'm looking forward to. Yes the preorder price has dropped to $499, i'm also offering $100 payback for anyone who preord...
