In Italy the open damper is replaced under warranty by Honda Services with a new one that works like a charm.
In my NSS300 it was replaced 2 months ago and until now the seat stays perfectly open.

In Italy we have news about a replacement of original seat piston with a new one. My Honda mechanic says the new piston will be available in 20/30 days.

In Italy the most owners of a Forza 300 have the same issue: the seat can't stay open. Honda Italia replaces in warranty the piston, but using one of same type. We think this can't be resolutive and we inquired for a more strong piston or a different solution.

My dealer/mechanic today has replaced the defective fuel pump with the new part. The work takes not more than 2 hrs and here, in Italy, is free of any charge. No problems because the reassembly of plastic parts.. To whom it may concern i send a shot of the order slip where is the part no. of the pump.

In Italy Honda Italia has started the recall campaign for 3500 Forza NS300, MSX125 ad SH Mode 125 (at 80% are Forza NSS300). We are waiting Honda's letter to have the replacement by an official dealer absolutely free of charge. In Italian forum we haven't news about other issues. Can be the problem ...

13th issue from Italian site: Forza300 bought in 2103, after 400 kms pump died in July 2013. Replaced after 40 days... after this problem, the scooter is ok.

This means that Honda knew the problem since July 2013.
Last digits of VIN: 0925

that doesn't take into account the 80-90% of the Italian population who own a Forza but don't read forums or don't post to forums and who probably think their own fuel pump problem is an isolated failure. This is true... I think we can represent only a small part of Italian owners of a Honda Forza....

We know (news from an online magazine), NSS300 in Italy are not more 2000. The info about 3000 was wrong.

The plate with VIN numbers and year of manufacture there is not in Forza 300 sold in Italy. We have only the VIN number printed on motor block and in chassis. So is not easy to know the year of manufacture.

We know that the 10th caracter of VIN means D=2013 and E=2014.

I found this document in the Internet, how to decode Honda VIN numbers. Can be useful ?
