This was a really good discussion, thanks everyone especially GeeGuss. Makes me just want to leave my slower 2015 pcx stock. Maybe 62 or 63 is fast enough. Got almost 2500 miles on it now.
DIYers, was any valve lash adjustment needed at 2500?

Too bad that they are not offering a 150cc version of the Forza 125 in the USA. It seems to have lots of good features: adjustable windshield, 4 valve head, and higher top speed. It is heavier though.

I think Scooterman put the NCY variator (as I recall for the 125) on his 2015 PCX, so it is my understanding that they will fit.

I've been looking at a used Yamaha Majesty. They have a good reputation and are said to do 90mph or more. I don't think Yamaha is offering them this year. Thanks guys, this has been an interesting blog. Guess I might have to get the NCY variator assembly if I wish to drive highways at less than WOT. About 10 mph more eh? I'd rather go 60 mph at 8K than at 9.6K rpm. Other mods I can't see just now.

The two dealers here within 10 miles, don't even stock the recommended oil (Pro Honda 10w30 MB rated) they do carry it in 10w40 grade. It is a synthetic blend, from what I have read. The manual for the 2015 PCX 150 does say to use "motorcycle" oil. The only motorcycle oil I saw at Walmart ...

the 2015 pcx has no trouble at all hitting the limiter at 63 or so mph. My 1970 model cb350 had a red line of 10,500, which it would not reach on level ground at top speed.
