Re: Rough engine

Have you compared your Forza directly with another one? That would identify whether its you or the scooter. At 26,500 miles my original Mitsuboshi drive belt disintegrated and I replaced it with a Bando version and it seems a fair bit smoother in the 65-70 region. I do not know what is in my 2014 C...

Good for you, TBone.

Have fun and welcome to the forum. Should be warming up nicely over there in Baton Rouge, so you probably won't need to pack your heated jacket liner and long undies. :D

Re: Really Awful Brakes

Question, Dave: Do you usually apply both brakes when you slow down? That would be a perfectly legit thing to do, and that's what the owners' manual recommends, but many riders, including me, only apply the rear brake if the front doesn't appear to be going to get us stopped in time, and then only f...

Re: Cheeky Seats review

I have the same cover as Honkerman, only with red stitching. I love it; the quality and fit are exceptional and it looks great. It has a small amount of padding, just enough for the stitching upholstery (sorry, Suzy, I don't know the technical term for this), and it follows the contour of your seat ...

Re: Age old question - 87 or premium

87 sez me. Just one of the joys of my PCX: 100+ mpg on 87 oct gas (Compare and contrast with the 35 mpg of highest-possible-octane gas on my BMW) Yea PCX!

Re: Battery Tender

I have one on my PCX. I don't really use it to charge the battery, since I ride the scooter every day, but I do use it as the power supply for my heated jacket liner. I have the pigtail coming out of a little hole I drilled a couple of inches above the fuel door, right in front of me. Works GREAT! J...

Correct. The lights and dash working but the engine not starting is normal for a bad battery. Those things fool you into thinking the batt is OK when it's not.

Forza Windshield Upgrade -- Part Deux !

Annd we're back with a sequel. When I first got my Forza it didn't take me too long to figure out that although my stock short windshield was great around town, picking up all the air from the front of the scooter and directing it right at my chest and face (thus keeping me cool on a hot day - job#1...

Re: 2013 PCX - Will not start, clicking sound

The spark plug is not related to the problem; you can leave it alone. It's most likely the battery, which can read fully charged but not be able to deliver the goods to the starter. You can take it out and have it load-tested at a battery shop just to be sure, but it's probably the culprit.

That looks great. It would be a nice upgrade if you don't mind the noise (and the price!).

Re: Cheap lesson: add me to the crash list?

I know where you are coming from. I'm sure that now (and probably before now) you would sooner go riding without your pants on than go without your helmet. That, at any rate, is how I feel after twice falling off my PCX, both times at low speeds, and both times owing the fact that I was able to get...

Re: What does your keyring look like?

I'm with you, Big Mike. I keep my bike keys by themselves, with just a small ring on them so I can hang them on my keychain when I go into the store or restaurant. Otherwise they stay in my toolbox. I figure you can tell a lot about the previous owner when you look at used bikes by seeing whether th...

Re: Whoa! PCX first part fail - cracked reserve tank outlet

Iceman is right !! When I was looking for this part I checked Bike Parts Honda (UK) and they had it listed for 24.40 pounds, including VAT but not including shipping, which is about 35 USDollars (plus shipping). I thought that was a little high, since it's just a little piece of plastic, and so sear...

Re: Whoa! PCX first part fail - cracked reserve tank outlet

I agree, Mel. I can't see any reason for the crack, either. There's no stress on the line and the tank is completely enclosed by the bodywork. It's made of fairly thick plastic and I suppose the outlet could have been designed one size bigger and thicker but you can see why Honda thought this size w...

Whoa! PCX first part fail - cracked reserve tank outlet tube

Just had my first part fail on my 2013 PCX 150, and just when I got home from bragging about Honda reliabilty to a gullible stranger down at the Whataburger. Coincidence? I think not... I rode home from lunch and parked the scoot in the garage and when I came back out thirty minutes later the little...

You can't go wrong with a little black dress. You can, however, expect to hear from the PCX/Forza MacGyver Club, so heads up and put on your safety glasses!

Re: Exhaust for a 2014 Honda Forza 300

I don't think the EFI (electronic fuel injection system) would need to be remapped. One of the advantages of EFI over carburetion is its ability to instantly adjust to climate, altitude, engine temps, and other variables. Normally, a more open intake or exhaust system would be easily compensated for...
