Re: Another tire change / Input thread

Thanks BENCH VICE I've been thinking about what I could use to change tires in the future. BENCH VICE hadn't occured to me for some reason. One more option doesn't hurt. It is true! Old Dogs can learn new tricks.

Re: New PCX 2015 Owner

My friend the only thing I can say is a reputable dealer should stand behind that but a phone call will let you know for sure. I would look for any fluid leaks though by parking on a clean surface pump the break handle and look for leaks for my own peace of mind. Honda would surely want fluid put in...

Re: New PCX 2015 Owner

The fluid is very clear looking and if there is too much in it you may think it is empty. Stand the Bike on the center stand and look again. If it is truly empty I'd take it back to the dealer and have them top it off. Mine appears almost empty when it is on the side stand but is okay when it is on ...

Nathan's Law

Here in Michigan a new law has been passed called Nathan's Law. Nathan Bower was riding his motorcycle and was struck by a vehicle, killing Nathan in 2009. The new law will require that driver's education classes will include bicycle and motorcycle awareness instruction along with laws governing the...

Re: Broke my left leg, gear ideas?

Sorry to hear of your accident. I also had a good one when I was learning all I can say is it taught me a lesson, very hard one. I agree with whitnoise's post the most. Safety gear reduces the odds but probably not as much as experience and lessons learned. No matter how much gear you have though an...

1100 miles

Hi, It is starting to get cool so soon I'll put the scooter away since I use it for recreation only. I haven't had any problems with it, it has been fun. The only mods I've done is changed the seat which was a relief to my butt and put mirror extenders on which I don't know why I didn't do that earl...

Re: And there he goes ...

I only slid once so far and it was on a pocket of gravel thrown out on a paved road, I was leaning for a turn. Leaning into a curve seems more real than the term counter steering. I think it is way past time for our various hwy departments and local governments to find a way to paint without causing...

Re: First service.

I did my own valve check on my 2013 model PCX at 600 miles. The exhaust valve was out of spec and this one needed adjustment. The intake was out only a little and I could have left it alone but I did bring it in closer since I had it apart. I don't know how long it took me to take the panels off sin...

Re: Slide show of my country road commute NY USA

Thanks, I enjoyed these pictures. I would like to see more from other members. Especially those in other states and countries. This would be fun, I don't know if I would have the expertise to do it myself but I do enjoy this.

Helmet Law

Hi, lets see if I can stir up some dust. In Michigan we have done away with the mandatory helmet law. This was not supposed to affect those who continue to wear their helmets since an extra $50 charged on insurance for those who would not be using helmets was supposed to cover the insurance. My expe...

Re: Average age of PCX/Forza owners?

I'm 66 if I remember right. I'm probably going through another childhood, so does that make me younger?  Having an interest and a good ride knows no age, (sounds good i wonder if its true?)

Re: Pay Power by PCX

I got through okay this time. I did nothing different other than e-mailing them about having a problem. I tried again as they suggested and this time when I hit Paypal it went through Okay. I guess you have to just have patience and keep trying. Have a good day.(Yesterday was Sunday, maybe that was ...

Pay Power by PCX

Well I guess I'll admit that I don't understand how to pay Power by pcx. I've been trying to order a seat and I have a Paypal Acct. but I cann't seem to be able to understand how to use it or how to pay by credit card. I hate to show my ignorance but I haven't ordered from overseas before. Any help?...

Re: 1st Maintenance

Be at ease everyone. To be on the safe side I did change back to petroleum based oil. I checked the screen again since I put on another 50 miles and it was clear. I live in a suburban area so it is hard not to ride 50-60 at times in order to be safe. I deploy all tactics in keeping people from drivi...

Re: 1st Maintenance

How long is the break-in period? The Honda owners manual says 300 miles. I've ridden it under 45 and cautiously until I hit over the 300 then I've been giving it more throttle since then. I was just wondering what period of time is the break-in. If it is longer, why no caution from Honda?

Re: 1st Maintenance

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to change it again before it gets cold and the roads are coated with salt at that time I think I'll use what I used to use GTX 10-30. I found that this oil worked well in the past. The main reason I want to change it again so soon is because of the chips I found ...

1st Maintenance

Well I had 542 Miles and decided to change the oil. I used 10W30 Mobil 1 Synthetic. I found the job simple enough and when I cleaned the screen, I found several metal chips. Hopefully no harm came to the engine. I would advise everyone to change oil at least by 600 miles. After obtaiing the service ...
