think you are correct Fish..a side mounted piston seems the simplest answer and I agree there is little point in making it a warranty matter as the best we would get is another "new" useless little piston rod so solving nothing...It really is a poor design by Honda but I assume for cost sa...

recall work completed at main Honda dealer and in 2 hours...seemingly successful...apart that is from the garage breaking a small part of one of the panels they removed...so thats now on order with a 10 day delivery .... but Forza running well...but then it always has.

Iceman I dont think you have any chance of sourcing a works manual for the Forza in the UK...I tried everyplace..eventually a garage advised me that their mechanics are all on line now so even garages dont have paper works manuals. check Fish s entry under the "accessories " section on this forum..full description from a guy who posted on the web as to how to remove and fit a Forza screen...easily done...needs a bit of "force" however to remove the plastic bits....
