Re: Honda Genuine Pcx 150 Outdoor cover

I bought one last summer. It seems very nice, a good quality cover. Mine isn't really out in the rain because it's under a 10x20 driveway canopy but the cover certainly would be helpful if it was out in the rain. Since the cover is pretty snug, when I take it off the mirrors are usually drooping a l...

Re: Benchmark Stock 2015 PCX

does it accelerate faster than the 2013? im thinking it should if you loose top speed if you are looking for that might be a low end grunt kind of upgrade I can't keep quiet any longer. It's lose, not loose!!!!! Stop it all of you! ;) While you're at it, it's probably best to remind people that it'...

Re: 2013 Performance

As a sidenote, I had the pod filter on my 2013, then went through the troble of swapping it to my 2015. However, I'm thinking of putting the airbox back on due to the noise. Will spend a nother tank or two testing speed & mpg before doing so (if I do it) but sort of thinking that I'd be fine wi...

Re: Stupid weatherman....

It was strange watching football (American) this weekend and seeing fans wearing jackets and their breath steam showing in the chill while I'm sweating. If you caught the Charger game you saw that it was 100 degrees (by their field thermometer). It's been such a warm dry year, thankfully only 81 alo...

Re: Maximizing your Dr. Pulley sliders

Thanks for the information, i'll have a hunt on the interwebs to find out a) how to fit them and b) where to buy them in the UK cheap. :) I bought 15g which is the same as stock on the 150 but theoretically should give a performance increase just because of the fact that the sliders can go farther ...

Re: Will The Seat Unlatch With No Battery?

Ah, yeah, mine was built ground up for my touring, i can't imagine riding anything else! And the Brookes saddle is super comfy Ha! It's not in the picture but I put a black B17 on the Thorn at first, didn't like it even though I wanted to and took it back off. I didn't ride for a year after retirin...

No, you were right. The gears on both bikes are operated using Bowden cables. I guess the only thing not using them is the hydraulic disc on the mtb.

Re: Will The Seat Unlatch With No Battery?

The other bike with disc brakes is standard 3x9 Shimano gearing on a Turner mountain bike. Also built it up from parts to my own taste. Total cost was more than I paid out the door for the PCX.

Re: Will The Seat Unlatch With No Battery?

I'm old enough to have owned and ridden a bicycle with fully lever operated brakes, there were no bowden cables on it at all. I have two bikes with fully lever operated brakes, one of them has no brake cables at all (hydraulic disc). And the gears...? The bike I generally ride has a Rohloff interna...

Re: Motorcycle Clubs

This is the Ride For Kids website, they have rides all over. http://www.curethekids.org/events/ride-for-kids/ Yes, the money raised is pretty much as you figured. We each paid an entrance fee to go on the ride (not required but really...), that all goes to charity. In addition, I was lucky enough to...

Re: Motorcycle Clubs

Well, not a motorcycle club but I've been on 4 rides with the local scooter meetup group, one ride was over 100 miles and a ride with the Ruckus group. I've met quite a few really nice people on these rides. Last weekend the Scooter Squadron rode to the San Diego Ride For Kids that supports the Pedi...

Re: Fat bastard.

Wow, good for you. In a year and a half I've only been able to lose 15 lbs which is super slow and frustrating but better than gaining 15 lbs. Need to lose another 40 to be where I'd really love to weigh but it's so tough, wife is a good cook and I like to eat.
