Re: Yuminashi 164cc keeps over heating
Domed piston makes a good power with 150 Yuminashi head coupled with 31mm tb, cam and Takegawa exhaust. Probably same or slightly more than I'm making now with my current set up...

Re: Yuminashi 164cc keeps over heating
Good choice for Takegawa exhaust. They are good performance pipes. Looks like you have already made the decision..

Re: Yuminashi 164cc keeps over heating
going 150 head will give you more power and torque too so id incline and say 150.. but you may have to adjust the fueling litte bit. Dremeling water ports on 125 head is the cheapest option.

Re: Yuminashi 164cc keeps over heating
If you're using the 125 with big bore cylinders, its advisable to port out the water holes on the head to match the gasket ports for the cylinder. A quick dremel work is required for it to be done. That'll allow a maximum water flow and cooling effect the way its supposed to be. Using a 150 head has ...

Re: k2apache's 6.0 2013 PCX Mod thread
I like the stretch kit. I've been wanting to stretch mine for a very long time now but I've been busy with engine tuning... That might or might not happen toward the end of the year, nonetheless I enjoy reading about it, do you have, or will you be doing a thread on yours, I've been following Chica...

Re: Dyno Run Pcx 169cc
So, which bike is it that you have modded for these tests, the 125cc or the 150cc? When Maddiedog modded his 125cc PCX to 170cc it was really fast. I have read somewhere in these postings that you can upgrade the 150cc to 170cc but to me that would be under-modding it. Surely they can make a 190cc ...

Dyno Run Pcx 169cc
Just sharing a Dyno run i did today just to see what HP I'm getting out of it at the wheel.Dyno is load applying so its as accurate as it can be for a Dyno. I paid for two runs with two diff variators that i thought i was getting best on road performance. Both were tuned with weights for just over 8...

Re: Engine lost power
But seriously, if you want to check on your fuel pumping abilities, just pull off the fuel line of the injector and place the line in the small bottle then try cranking the motor. It will squirt fuel, quite a bit of it. Then you'll know fuel pump is ok..

Re: Forza 35mm TB
You can reuse stock sensors but that's only valid for v1 Pcx. Anyway a good indicator of engine producing more power is that the current weights setup for x amount of rpm have become too light since I've installed this 35mm tb. In fact I have increased it by 1.5g each slider so from 10g to 11.5 at t...

I had a leak on my previous radiator, don't know why. I replaced it and never had a problem again.

Re: Forza 35mm TB
Well, I had time to install the Tb after sometime I received it in the mail. It's considerably bigger than the current 31mm I had in there and so was the intake manifold. Intake manifold was a literally mating match for the throttle but could have been used with 31mm tb, only thing was the tb was pu...

Re: Stock engine, modified rider..
Actually the first is Namibia which is southwestern Africa very close to the South African tip. That area is dangerous anyway, with all of the rebel activity and constant fighting. Who would want to drive in an area with few paved roads and lots of people shooting at you? And Libya is not? Ever sin...

Re: Forza 35mm TB
Yes I am, I've got domed Piston. That spark plug looks bit lean but to actually read it properly you need to run it wot briefly then pull the plug out whilst hot to see what colour it is. That's a proper way to read it. I've ran Takegawa 170cc kit with 125 head for 5000km without overheating issues ...

Re: Forza 35mm TB
Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk[/quote] Are you running 125 head? 150 head is much better aligned with cooling water ports so the flow of water is unimpeded. I'm running 150 head now and I haven't had any dramas so far regarding overheating. Yes, I'm on 164 kit with larger yuminashi injector. I...
