Re: Dyno Run Pcx 169cc

They adjust fuel using dealer's scanner tool, Yamaha allows to adjust fueling +-15% as I know, so no any fuel piggyback ecu is needed. I asked one ebay bbk seller why you don't supply any fuel controller with the Yamaha big bore kit. He told me to use Yamaha diagnostic tool also. But, +15% is still ...

Re: Terrible Yuminashi customer service experience

Thank you for your opinion about a grom! Pcx now is expensive parts collection (ohlins, yoshimura, 190cc etc) in garage corners I see it everyday when I take my car to go to work, sad to see and months of waiting for a new parts. One more fiasco and I turn it back to stock or go with takegawa and th...

Re: Terrible Yuminashi customer service experience

Ha ha, I am on the same boat! I bought yuminashi parts from rzracing and the things are going on terrible. For 3 years I did just 2000 miles on my pcx, 1000 happy miles of full stock, then just 1000 miles and 2 blown engines, now waiting for the 3rd engine :).This neverending waiting for months is k...

Re: HondaPcx150 Vs Suzuki Burgman 200

I tested the Yamaha n max 155 for a week in Thailand, imho it just simply kills pcx150 in everything. Better engine: 4Valves, variable valve timing system. ABS, rear disk brake, WAY better braking feel. Wider more comfortable seat, more of underseat space, WAY better suspension both front and rear f...

Re: Front suspension upgrade

Thank you! I took them off and opened them already exactly this way, i have bought daytona 20% stiffer springs with oe height ( not lowered ones), but they didnt fit. The are made for the first generation pcx125, they are 1inch shorter and a little less in diameter. Now, with the yss pd valves, i ma...

Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)

Very nice though. Have you watched Hit the Apex? Not yet. Thanks for the link, didn't know about this film. Must watch, of course :) I don't think it will be shown in cinemas here, and be shared free on youtube, have to do a search on the pirate resources. Yes, I do watch every motogp event live, a...

Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)

I bought a grom this spring, after my pcx engine was blown. I didn't want to spend a season without a bike. Now I have two bikes, and I feel I don't need 2 bikes, but same time I don't want to sell any of them, they feels different, and add each other. I get more of the riding pleasure when do combi...

Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)

No, I purchased this kit directly from Chayanon design, this thai guy is highly gifted, he do design and produce graphic kits and do custom original helmets, like Antonio Drudi, Valentino Rossi's helmet designer. The quality level is very high, and the price is affordable! Many resellers in USA and ...

Re: Honda MSX125 (Grom)

Hi guys! I own both pcx and a grom. Grom engine have a lack of power, 60 mph is rarely seen. But, grom is way more fun to ride, to throw it in the traffic, to do some stunts, etc. On pcx I feel myself relaxed, but on a grom bike provokes me to do bad things :) PCX is hardly tuned 190cc beast btw, gr...

Re: Brake upgrade

Hm.. The original brembo radial master brake cylinder is avaiable for pcx, but it might be pricey! And there are many fakes on them in Thailand and some online shops.
The scooter frame geometry ,poor fork rigidness will never give you that sportbike brake feel anyway, imho.

Re: Saving up for that BBK

takegawa = 16hp at the wheel, proven and reliable. But, mpg rate isn't good, o2 sensor will be disconnected, so no of the closed loop effectiveness here.

Re: Brake upgrade

changing the brake pads to racing ones will help a lot, but they may squeak and eat the disk, so best way is to buy one step hotter pads, like street/racing, not track racing.

Re: Brake upgrade

rear brakes do just 10% of the braking job, because when you are braking, the rear wheel goes up and loose traction. 90% of the braking is done by the front. So actually I don't care about the performance of the rear drums. And, by the way, to brake really hard you have to push both front and rear l...

Re: Brake upgrade

Hi! If you change the OE brake line to armoured (braided) one, you will get more direct and informative brake feel, how much force to apply to the brake lever at the moment, this will improve your braking feel a lot. Also you could change the brake pad to a pad with more friction coefficient, this w...
