Looking to Replace PCX 125 Exhaust

I think its time to replace the rusty original exhaust of my 2013 UK PCX. I couldn’t find any guides on the forum but looking at the service manual it seems a straightforward DIY job once the side panel is removed. Are there are potential issues I should watch out for? Any recommended exhaust replac...

Re: Left Hand Indicators stopped working

A quick update and further info that might help others in a similar situation. My WD40 ‘fix’ proved to be of limited use since soon afterwards my left indicator eventually only worked on rare occasions, if at all. I did figure out how to remove the indicator unit, though, by levering out the indicat...

Re: Left Hand Indicators stopped working

Left side indicator lights are now working again! :D Although I would like to know how to access the switch compartment at the back I sprayed a little WD40 onto the contacts of the red ‘socket’ before reconnecting then sprayed WD40 down the sides of the actual switch on the front and moved left and ...

Re: Left hand indicators stopped working.

You really need to check the bulbs first. From what i see, indicator lights are different on US versions of the PCX (maybe other countries, too?)....the type that stick out sideways like antennae front and back..? Accessing the bulbs in these looks very straightforward and a sensible starting point...

Re: Left Hand Indicators stopped working

In the UK, maybe europe too, Honda sent out a safety recall for 2015 year PCX's - Turn Signal, Hazard Signal, Safety and High Beam do not light when switches operated - LFU (Led Control Unit failure). Thanks, Iceman and Ontwowheels. I read something about this but it isn’t something that affects my...

Re: Left Hand Indicators stopped working

Can anyone explain how to remove/get into this part of the handlebar switch unit, please? I want to check the contact points which I hope are hidden in here, since the left indicator lights have stopped working.

Re: Left hand indicators stopped working.

As described in this ‘old’ thread, the left indicator of my 2013 125 PCX has just stopped working. The right side is fine. Nothing obvious happened to my knowledge. Can anyone suggest anything for me to fix this please? Clearly my model is a non-LED version. I have a 2013 PCX. Start with the easy s...

jburner wrote:That works too. What’s your plan for the two holes?
For the time being I’m going to leave the two holes as they are, so that I can adjust the padding if I need to. Once/if I’m happy with the result I’ll stick a couple of patches over them.

Re: Seat recovering ‘how to’ guide

First, fill the ‘valley’ between the plastic humps (shown from underneath) with pieces of fabric and pack down firmly. FF41805A-6CE5-41A4-B4F8-E2C5EAC6C353.jpeg Then fill the spaces as evenly as possible between, behind, in front of, and at the sides of the two humps. 784347A8-BA41-471B-887E-69FBAC0...

Re: Seat recovering ‘how to’ guide

I decided to have a go at a very minimalist approach to 2010-2013 PCX de-humping.
All it needs is pieces of cloth, foam, whatever small scraps you have to hand. These bits are fed through the two holes in the seat cover to pack the space around the two humps.

Re: Seat recovering ‘how to’ guide

I think if I would do it again, I would have started from the back and work my way forward around the nose portion of the seat. Although I haven’t tried yet, with the rounded snout to contend with, I think your approach was right. Staple snugly around the nose, pull firmly to the back, then pull th...

Re: Seat recovering ‘how to’ guide

I filled the space with foam knowing that I was going to flatten the plastic. It was all or nothing kind of thing. I was going to try to soften and push them down without doing any cutting and realized that the plastic would have bunched up too much to be a flat structure for the foam to sit on. Ha...

Re: Seat recovering ‘how to’ guide

That’s fantastic, Jburner! .... So from what I can see, there is a circular recess in the foam padding around the area the hump was? Correct. On the back side its is tapered to match the plastic blow mold. See pic #2-3 Did you try just filling this space with foam or padding first, before cutting i...

Re: Seat recovering ‘how to’ guide

That’s fantastic, Jburner! Great photos, too. Very helpful in understanding what you did. I expected the rounded front end to be a PITA to cover without stitching in seams. You did an excellent job, there. Well done. Very interesting seeing the seat once the cover is removed, especially the foam pad...

Here is a forum guide on uploading pictures: https://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=912 I for one would love to see the pictures. I suspect the reason you had issues uploading images was because the file sizes were too big. There are plenty of free apps out there that will do the job. I us...

Re: Seat recovering ‘how to’ guide

Thanks for the comments. For the moment I just want to explore cheap DIY options that I can have a go at myself, once I understand what I’m taking on. Without the additional pictures from the de-humping thread I am reluctant to tackle that...for now. But if I have an idea of what’s under the seat co...
