Re: How-To: Install a K&N Air Filter / Replace Your Air Filt

Take one of the other ones into a local old fashioned hardware shop and they should sort you out with one that will fit.
Or go to a Honda dealer, drop your drawers and bend over.

It was -6.5°C this morning on my 27 mile commute to work and a positively toasty warm 2.3°C on the way home.

Number of factors, belt wear, cold weather, sticky brakes, you've been at the pies during Xmas, that kind of thing.

Re: What topbox do you have

Absolutely, I still utterly despise them, problem is I need storage when parked at my new job and there isn't a set of panniers available for the PCX so it has to be a topbox.
Or I suppose I could just buy something with a cavern under the seat like a Silverwing.....

Re: What topbox do you have

You very definitely do not want the Honda carrier in that second link. Givi boxes come with a universal mounting plate but for the PCX you also need the Givi E231 adapter which is £27. I just ordered a Givi E300B because I need more storage at my new job. If you order both from Motorcycle Planet del...

Re: Center stand FAIL

So long as you take your weight on both your feet on the ground while you rock it off the stand it should be fine.
It's sitting with both your feet on the running boards that causes problems.

The parts will be too expensive to be worth it.
There's also potential difficulties with insurance to consider.

Get a brush and a tin and you don't need to remove it.
There's also the Leo Vince to consider.

Re: PCX 150?

It doesn't sound like much, but raising to 150cc would be very significant. A 150 cannot meet the European definition of an A2 "Light Motorcycle" which is why the PCX 125 is restricted to 62.5mph. Remove the requirement to restrict, up the cc to 150 and the max power could easily be increa...

Re: CBS fluid top up.. how?

Entirely dependent on riding style. And maintenance. With single sided calipers, if the pins that the caliper slides across get dirty or corroded and the caliper does not move freely, the pad nearest the pistons gets worn away in no time flat. This is why during winter it is essential to lift the fr...

Re: Diesel + Road + Darkness = Off into the scenery

When the road surface coefficient of friction is significantly reduced by the likes of diesel or black ice, contact patch size makes little or no difference. Even in the dry wide tyres don't always mean more grip, much depends on the properties of the tyre compound. The main reason modern bike tyres...

Replace the IRCs. It's a cheap tyre You've not tried buying one in the UK. Things have improved recently, but last year I had no alternative but to pay £70 for an IRC rear. The wear rate on the IRC is testament to the soft (sticky) compound. It really is an OK tyre, the scrapes in my bodywork are p...

There could be a problem with the stop/start.
