Last few weeks have had a bunch of below freezing nights. . This mornings trip to the clinic on the PCX, I was ...

Those who have crashed PCX or otherwise recently

. Since we seem to be having a crash-o-thon this month I have a question or two. . When the crash occurred - did you have anything mounted on handle bars - like phone, GPS, etc. ???? . What happened to these items during the crash - did they stay put or come off there mounting ??? . How about a top ...

Re: Dr pulley sliders keep getting stuck , Slow start

Sean, Why do you write in a different font from all others? I think I would sand the sides of the sliders with 1500 or 2000 grit paper to make sure they slide in the slot. Also be very careful when installing so one doesn't move during installation. . Hay waspmike - NOT sure about different fonts ....

Re: Dr pulley sliders keep getting stuck , Slow start

Hay MaLLoc . I have had no problem with sliders turning like that. All different weights with both OEM and an after market variator. . Before I bought any new slider, I think I would try to find the cause. . If faced with a similar problem I think I might try the following: Yes, mark each slider wi...

Re: Dr pulley sliders keep getting stuck , Slow start

Next time if yiu have it open, try to identify the sliders (I've seen a brilliant idea from someone on the forum marking them with dots like on a dice [D6 if you have ever played any P&P RPG games ;-)]) and also mark the ramp it is happening on. Then just randomly rotate sliders in the ramps to...

Re: transmission cover gasket ?

If the CVT casing was meant to shed heat it would be finned. I wonder what the fan on the variator does and why there's a hole at the rear of the CVT casing...? Hay gn2 just a thought on - it would be finned [/u][/i]. Honda and every other manufacture regardless if auto, scooters, TV's, whatever is...

Re: transmission cover gasket ?

Had my transmission cover off today for the first time, the thin metal gasket between the cover and crankcase had sort of corroded and bonded itself in various places to both the cover and crankcase, got it off eventually undamaged and have cleaned it up with wd40 and wet and dry paper and it's fin...

Re: Unsafe To Use Yuminashi Variator With Dr. Pulley Sliders

I see no other conclusion after reading extensively here on various transmission modifications, and now suffering a failure. 2015 PCX150 with Yuminashi Speed Control, 12 gram Dr. Pulley sliders, and reinforced Gates SB50026 belt. Bike has 5k miles with 4k of those on this mod. Yesterday, long ride,...

Re: running great - then engine just died -

I don't have experience with belts as such, well a little bit on V belts, but just wondering if because your Dr. Pulley/Advance pro combination needs in theory a belt which is 6.5mm longer. It may not be as simple as that but... Maybe the belt just won't travel to the full extent of the pulley. Or ...
