Re: honda manual on flea bay

The UK honda dealers I spoke to seem to indicate they can get the service manual for one of the scooters I'm interested in, a PCX 125, SH125 directly for not much more than ordering one from overseas - and the correct manual for the UK model. They wanted £41 for the SH125i 2013 (PCX engine) model.

Re: Latest PCX

Although I've still got a test ride booked on several of the current scooters, and was veering towards the SHi 125 (although I do not like the new 2013 style instrument cluster (the old one looked better to me) and it does not seem to include the small dark windshield anymore), having seen photos an...

Re: 7500 service advice

Assuming you service the bike yourself and not worry about warranty, I'm wondering what's the worst that can go wrong that would get anywhere near the cost of 2 yr services - which for what I was quoted was £900+ for any 110-125 Honda scooter. I'm thinking worth having the 1st and 2nd service, perha...

Great video - seems an easy job to do with just a bit of effort. Wish I had a garage like that.

Re: New to the forum - still deciding what scooter to get

I've arranged a new test date for the SHi and others, but that won't be for some weeks as I cannot get the leave just yet. Another dealer has offered me a slight discount on an 2014 abs version (non registered yet) and quoted me £41 to order the service manual for the UK 2013 SHi - not bad and if I ...

Re: New to the forum - still deciding what scooter to get

I was due to go to a dealer to test ride the PCX and SHi (and vision 110) but could not get the day off. Now booked test rides on the SH and 110 as I'm really not sure about the PCX - it's nice, but I'm still not struck by the plastic added on for show rather than anything useful (it just seems a bu...

Re: PCX TOP BOX - HOW TO

Tape on the 'good' side of the plastic may help reduce any burring when drilling the pilot holes, although if a small enough started drill is used there should not be too much burring.

Re: Service Intervals Short?

Hi David, I'm still considering what bike to go for - PCX125 (UK), or SH125i (flat floor-bed and more powerful than a PCX) or even a Vision 110 for small distance commutes (to be honest, very quick acceleration to 35mph), recently a main dealer quoted me these figures: PCX125 (SH125-abs/Vision110 on...

Re: Motorcycle Helmets

According to Sharps, there are quite a few helmets less than £100 that get 4 or 5 stars and many costing £100's that don't. Style, features may be better in the more expensive brands/versions, but cheaper does not mean it sacrifices protection.

Re: Honda PCX Manual

Hi, Apologies if I missed the link in this or other threads, but is the UK 2013 PCX 125 original service manual available or just the US PCX 2013 150 version from Helm or others? From discussions it seems to be the same, engine wise, albeit other small differences? I gather the 2011 125 version is f...

Until now I didn't realise you had to drill holes (or make them bigger) to fit approved PCX back boxes like Givi - I thought they just clamped on.

Re: replacement keys?

Hi, I'm a new PCX 150 owner - 300 miles in 2 weeks. I bought my bike used and it came with only one key. To get the spares with the hexagon on top was going to cost $27 to get 2 blanks & "shutter replacement." The dealership couldn't tell me if I was going to have to replace the lock ...

Welcome Steve! Okay, so going 70mph is not (really) important. Then I vote for the PCX 125 for your daily town runs, it's quite flickable & nimble too. My opinion....Oh, & in White! :D :D I first liked the white, then I've grown fond of the red - not sure which I would go for. Some people l...

Re: New to the forum - still deciding what scooter to get

Hi. As I mostly need the scooter for a 10 mile commute in town (outer London) it's a choice of three - Vision 110, PCX 125 or SH125i (new 2013 PCX engine version). I'm going to a dealer in about ten days time to see them and get a better idea of their size (I'm 6ft) and how it feels sitting on them....
