UPDATE: City Grip 150/70-13 rear installed on Forza

Okay, as promised I am reporting on the effect after installing the City Grip 150/70-13. The ABS has not been affected - the light went off immediately after moving as with the 140/70-13. Good! On a 10k route the odometer clocked in at 9.8k, which is about right as predicted on the posted web site c...

ran out of gas - doh.

I actually ran out of gas, if you can believe it! The trip odometer was at 347 km or converted: 215 miles. I have sworn now to always fill up at 300km. Fortunately the tank is relatively new so pretty clean I'm guessing, as it started up on first crank. Lucky but embarrassed.

Re: Anyone using the City Grip 150/70-13 rear on their Forza

I think I have the solution!!!! Next time I go to the Honda dealership I'll call it a "tyre" not "tire". Seems to work for the Brits. Being Canadian I believe I have that option. eh. Seriously though thanks GN2 and everyone for your help. I'm just chalking this up to being one of...

Re: Anyone using the City Grip 150/70-13 rear on their Forza

Last call for any input before making the plunge. If not it looks like I'm out of options, so if I do see anything here to change that dilemma, I guess I'll be the guinea pig for 150 rear size on the ABS. Will let everyone know if the ABS light stays on due to the speed difference of front to back ...

Re: Anyone using the City Grip 150/70-13 rear on their Forza

Sorry page didn't load for you, so I cut and pasted this from it. Hope it helps. Basically it comes down to about -2.6% change to speedo and as mine is +6% over this will actually make it more accurate. It looks like I don't really have much choice as I am down to wear bar and the Honda/Dunlop tire ...

Hey fish. Okie Scoot posted this web site in a tire topic here that might answer your comparison questions. (I plugged in the two tire sizes) http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/tireca ... -150-70r13

Re: Anyone using the City Grip 150/70-13 rear on their Forza

Thank you flyangle. Couple of questions pls. Did you replace the front tire with a larger city grip too: to offset the rear? When you say difference in handling do you mean cornering or rough roads or something like that? Sorry to be a pain. thanks again bud.

Anyone using the City Grip 150/70-13 rear on their Forza

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Anything that might help, like cornering, Speedo/Odometer changes, and handling. Looks like this is my only option for a replacement around here.

Thanks.

Re: Warranty Claim - water pump oil seal 2014 Forza 300

Hi DioTiAma. Yes that is exactly what they replaced for me. The mechanic showed me the shaft of the pump and it had a burr on it that scratched the casing and cut the seal. You could actually hear it when he turned the shaft. Definitely a issue from the factory either not machined properly or their ...

Re: NSS300 Fuel Pump problems

Okay here's one from Canada - I think you can group it with USA ones as the fuel usage indicator has the choice of miles per US gallons (I did a conversion from the km/liter indication I usually use, and can confirm it is us gallons not imperial.) ABS born on date 6/13 model year 2014 last VIN digit...

Larger rear tire: does it change speedo?

In a previous post some members mentioned that they had mounted a 150/70-13 rear tire because of the lack of availability of the 140 size in North America. I just wondered if the increase of the circumference has changed their speedometer and/or odometer readings. I know that in the past I had chang...

Hey MichRocks, How's it goin' eh? Did you recognize the accent? What a brutal winter here for us. It' my fault. If I had bought a snow mobile instead of a bike it probably wouldn't have snowed at all. LOL One of the things I love most about we "Scootari" is the way we personalize our scoot...

Parts Manual

Hi,
Anyone found an electronic copy of the parts manual?

I found this site that has on line diagrams etc. and sells parts http://www.hondapartshouse.com/oemparts ... a-ac-parts but no luck with a download copy anywhere.

Thanks,
Chris.

Givi Universal Adapter Plate

Sorry willajabir, a bit of misinformation; the upper cover of the rear rack is held in place by two push tab fasteners (not from underneath) - you can see them if you open the seat. Also there are slotted tabs holding it in place. Looks like adapter plates are available http://www.bikerzbits.com/hon...

Re: Givi Universal Adapater Plate

Hey willajabir, Here's something that might work; http://www.twistedthrottle.com/givi-z113c-monolock-topcase-adapter-plate-universal-model-for-flat-rear-luggage-racks I know the existing top flat plate on our racks is removable (if I recall it screws in from underneath the rack), that is how the Hon...
