Perplexed...

Hello all. Hoping to find an informed answer (as opposed to my ramblings) about my fuel economy. A long time ago in a galaxy far away, my daily commute to work was 25 miles each way. I used to fill up at roughly the end of trip 5 (125 miles) just to save the hassle of stopping midway in a journey. T...

Re: PCX spare parts

I recently got a part from powerbypcx.com. It was the V shaped bit of fairing just above the headlight. They do take 2-3 weeks as the part was shipped out from Thailand but considering it cost me 25 quid all in as opposed to 50 odd from Chiswick Honda I think the wait wasnt too bad. Seeing as you ha...

Re: The only luck I have, is bad luck.

Hi Kat. Sorry to hear about the incident. I know you took a bit of a knock but I suppose having the proper gear on probably saved you from a lot worse. I have only been riding for 6 months but every experienced rider I ever speak to waffles on about how important proper gear is which I have taken to...

Re: Need help to get my stolen PCX125 (UK) back on the road

Hi bud. Sorry to hear about the toe rags messing up your scooter. I would echo the sentiments of others. A bit of ebay research would probably yield you the parts you need for a decent price. I needed the bit of fairing which sits just above the headlight so emailed about 8-10 people selling bits on...

Re: Doesn't like short breaks

Hello all. Just thought I would update you guys on how things went. Replaced the battery back in December as the old one was indeed on its way out. Didnt solve the problem. What I did manage to work out was, after turning the key and letting the guage do its bouncy business I would wait about a seco...

Re: Doesn't like short breaks

Thanks all for the help in diagnosis and suggestions. I am thinking battery replacement may be the best place to start. I know of other riders who have had problems with their batteries. If it isn't strong enough to handle multiple starts in a day then it needs to be replaced. If the engine won't tu...

Re: Doesn't like short breaks

I do get the ignition light and the headlights are on but in all honesty didnt check if they were as bright as usual. On that note, this morning it cranked but wouldnt come on. Coupla tries with no luck. Had to call in the RAC. The guy plugged in his charger and it came on straight away. He reckons ...

Re: Doesn't like short breaks

Hello. Does the engine crank and it doesn't start or is there nothing happening. Also, is the side stand down or are you pulling the rear brake lever enough? Sound stupid I know but it's been done. Hi Alibally. Nothing happens at all. Very rarely use the side stand (it wasnt down on those occassion...

Doesn't like short breaks

Hi all. Fairly new here (and to riding for that matter). Have come across a small hiccup recently. My daily commute is about an hour and 10 min. I notice at the end of the commute if I stop to go to the shops for five min, when I come back the engine wont start. A couple of times I waited a few min ...

Re: How did I live without it?

Thanks all for the kind words. It has been a hoot riding around. I am now going around telling my friends to get into it too. And yes not having to worry about transport for London is definitely a bonus :-) Have to admit was not looking at white as a first choice in colour but it has definitely grow...

Re: How did I live without it?

Thanks for the welcome messages people. Hopefully will be able to contribute here :) I had never ridden a motorcycle prior to my PCX either, but learned how in the heart of Bangkok where the traffic is crazy at times, which is most of the time. ;) Thanks man... I bet the traffic out there is on a di...

How did I live without it?

Greetings all from sunny (well atleast today it is) Berkshire in the UK. I am the proud owner of an 2011 PCX for about a a month now. Till about 3 months ago I had never even considered 2 wheels but then I saw a guy selling a PCX at work. The first thing that grabbed me was the looks (never thought ...
