Tribpreper
I'll keep the backup camera in mind; however, if a prism would work, that would be easier for a hillbilly like me to install.

Re: Tall Windscreen For 2015 PCX150

Good upgrade word, Tribpreper !!! By the way, when I get my tall windscreen, I'm going to install a Cateye 10 GPS digital speedometer (probably using Velcro) a couple of inches from the top (rear side) of the windscreen. I've done that on my two previous motorcycles ( Honda ST1100 and a Ducati sport...

Re: Tall Windscreen For 2015 PCX150

Yeah, the Laminar Lip only works well on windscreens that come up to the riders nose area to start with. It lifts the airflow about 6 inches, so it needs to be mounted so that the lift puts the air flow from it above the rider's head. The LL that I tried on my Ducati's standard windshield focused th...

Re: Tall Windscreen For 2015 PCX150

I was told by Givi that the D1130ST would be available ~ May. It is somewhat taller and wider than the D1136ST.
I plan to wait for the 1130. Thanks for letting us know about RevZilla.

I have 3 recumbents: - Easy Racers Gold Rush long wheelbase bike - WizWheelz tadpole trike (2 front wheels, 1 rear wheel) - Easy Racers Titanium Javelin 30-speed long wheelbase bike (my latest purchase) seen here: http://johnnysstuffblog.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2012-01-01T00:00:00-08:00&...

Re: Tall Windscreen For 2015 PCX150

One additional thought: There is an add-on reverse airflow spoiler called the "Laminar Lip" (laminar lip.com) that raises airflow 6 to 8 inches higher. I had two of those in the past (on my Ducati: one for a standard screen and one for a taller screen that I bought). They actually work, bu...

Re: Tall Windscreen For 2015 PCX150

I talked to Givi's Eastern USA distributor (Charlotte) today. They don't expect to receive the new D1130ST tall windscreen for the 2015 PCX150 until late Spring ( ~ May 2015 ). When they receive it, it will be sold through all of the usual US Givi distributors. Guess we'll have to wait a while longe...

Re: Tall Windscreen For 2015 PCX150

I'm glad I waited for this new TALL Givi windscreen. They originally told me that they did not plan to make one
for the 2015 PCX.
I sent an e-mail to Givi asking them when it would be available for sale in the US. If I found out anything, I'll post it
here.

Re: Really tall Givi?

It looks like something that could have been "engineered" in Thailand. I lived 6 months in Thailand, and I remember seeing a lot of "re-engineered" scooters, etc. in Bangkok.....also 4 or 5 adults plus a baby plus a couple of chickens, etc. on scooters. The Thais have a knack for...

Re: Really tall Givi?

I don't think that the design should have any adverse handling related to wind direction. A side wind wouldn't have much effect, as the side profile of the screen wouldn't have much area for the side wind to push. A tail wind would simply increase the speed of the scooter, as it would act like a sai...

Here's everything that you might want to know about horsepower.....maybe more than you want to know. Johnny ...................................................... Re: Digital GPS Speedometer

I have GPS app capability on my iPhone, but it is a relatively big, clunky thing compared to a bicycle cyclometer....and the phone GPS might use up your monthly data quota rapidly under certain conditions....probably depends to some degree on what type of data plan you have. The bicycle GPS cyclomet...

Re: Digital GPS Speedometer

I received the Cateye Stealth 10 cyclometer, and it works great; however, it has one shortcoming that might make it less desirable for use on the PCX150. The speed reading only goes up to 65.8 miles per hour. That would probably be just fine for a stock PCX125, but it is on the edge of the top speed...

Re: Lane Splitter doesn't pay enough attention!

I can't relate to traffic conditions in London, since I have never been there. However, I spent 6 months in Thailand in 1971, flying out of there on B-52 bombing missions into North Vietnam, South Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. I'm not sure which was scarier: dodging Surface To Air Missiles (SAMs) or ...

Re: Installing An Avatar

Here's how I did it using my Mac's iPhoto program (would probably work with other types of computers, but the terms / names might be different). I started out with a photo which was 320 pixels wide x 240 pixels high. The avatar insertion on this PCX site requires that the photo be between 100 to 120...

Installing An Avatar

If any of you are interested, I found a simple way to get any picture set up as an avatar on your postings. This site requires that the avatar be between 100 and 120 pixels wide and high.....otherwise, it gets rejected. Of course....being a hillbilly....I might just be the last one to figure out how...

Re: Lane Splitter doesn't pay enough attention!

My opinion about lane splitting: It's just an accident waiting for a place to happen. When trying to go between two cars on the highway (even at low speed), there are just too many variables that the scooter or motorcycle rider cannot control.....inebriated / drugged drivers, distracted drivers who ...

danieljw, please tell us more about your new Givi screen.....
model number, wind noise, helmet buffeting, etc. with new screen.

By the way: How tall are you ? That can have a big effect
re how a given screen performs.

Thanks

Re: WHICH SCREEN 2015 pcx (UK)

Is there a US - based distributor for the Fabbri 2015 PCX screen ?

I'd rather not order it from overseas unless that's the only option.
So far, I haven't been able to find a US distributor on the internet.

Re: WHICH SCREEN 2015 pcx (UK)

Neither of those screens are as tall as the 323DT Givi screen that was available for the 2013 PCXs.....and both of those screens cause much noise and head buffeting, apparently. Unfortunately, the 323DT won't fit the 2015 PCXs. A lot of us are waiting for a taller screen for the 2015 PCX. No luck so...
