The original one has a different mount to the later eSP engine.

This is correct so if you could give us a few more details it would help us to help you.

Re: Engine Siezed Up?

o_O So, did I check and change the oil? Check. Did I notice any leakage? None. Check. Did I wait too long? 6 months, minimal riding, no reason to suspect bone dry engine. Idk what happened, but somewhere in there the engine got bone dry. I increased my commute from 25 miles a week to over 500 miles...

Re: a little rough or buzz at 4250-4400 rpm

Update (now that I think of it): Like somebody else has already mentioned, that 'rough buzz' mysteriously diasappeared with a passenger on. Also was less evident (on mine) with the spring pre-load adjusters set @ MAX. Very good indications that the 'buzz' had something to do with the shock springs ...

Re: a little rough or buzz at 4250-4400 rpm

I have this exact thing. It's definitely a resonance. A about 4-4.5K rpm something vibrates like crazy and makes a lot of noise. It almost sounds like a fog horn. The other topic seems to say its cause by load being put on the baring in the case of the CVT. It can't be that as there is almost no lo...

It's an rar file so you need to unzip it with something like winzip before you can open it.
While we're at it, does anyone have the manual for the 2014 pcx-150?

Re: valve adjustment

The problem is not that we heard some noises that we thought were strange and the dealer didn't . Even Dave could hear the strange noise, and when the dealer said that he listened to a new one and it sounded the same as my wife's I gave up trying to talk to him. I happen to be driving a new one and...

Re: New here! Battle Damaged PCX in need of help

Courior,

Just had the exact same snapping of the seat front hinge when the temps hit zero degrees last week.

What did you end up having to do to repair it? Was it just some superglue and a tight strap, or is there more to it?

The plastic broke in almost exactly the same place during normal use.

Re: Honda PCX (150) Linked Brakes

1stly my search showed nothing on this so forgive me if I missed it. I have a 150 pcx and have done a few changes to it which necessitated removal of all the body panels. (This may be subject of another later post). I have separated the Linked Brake System. My right brake lever now operates only th...

Re: PCX top speed

Next step would be to get a "taller rear tire", like a 140-70-14 that dasshreddar mentioned. Any downsides to this? What's involved, new wheel/tire and to a shop to get it installed (I'm a computer guy, not a mechanic, yet!). I had a 140-70-14 put on mine. My speed registered on a GPS uni...

Re: Snow Goggles!

Oh, and I do own a heated vest and it works wonders. Trust me, I am 200% aware that I own novice gear. I also know about the newspaper trick if you're facing Old Man Winter winds from the North. It's just about the actual material of the goggles -we're talking if I could only upgrade that one item a...

Re: Snow Goggles!

Ultimately, I'd love to plunk down $ for all the perfect heating gear, but I've decided to focus on the goggles for now -for when the visor fails you and that extra heat creates fog inside the helmet, then the icy wind refreezes that fog in an instant, the goggles have always saved my ass in a pinch...

Re: Michelin City-Grip Tires

If the grooves or ridges are in parallel with the direction traveling there is no slender bike tire that won't spook you... part of the fun of motor bikes. It might be lessened by wider sizes but on a steel grated bridge you are going to have to relax and season yourself to the situation. Your wors...

I should have left for home a half hour earlier. Freak April snow storm. I saw it coming on the radar but lingered mt goodbyes for too long. Made it 20 minutes out of 45 by wiping the snow off of my visor every 5 seconds but once my chin vent clogged up I was done because of fogging. I would hve ne...

Re: Unexpected Weather Stories

:) Cars being secondary to the snow. That happens a lot going North from Colorado Springs to Denver. Daredevils love to plow through almost any weather recklessly and with full abandon. The right couple of lanes have pressure cracks and bad paving, tens of miles worth at a time, and the baby pcx-150...

Re: Warped Router/Bearings

Oh, and btw, road salt or not the PCX runs beautifully up here. Honda could stand to sell a version of the PCX for individual driving climates though. On the high plains we need fully sealed components, mandatory heated handlebars, emergency skis, and about 25 more cc's to combat the stubborn winds....

Re: Warped Router/Bearings

2013 PCX-150, 1st winter wasn't anything. Then, 2 winters with plenty of road salt and fluctuating temps. Thing about the saids and unsaids of checking and maintenance -from a newbie's perspective, we may not be thinking of what may turn into a real problem very quickly if it's an unsaid check. I'd ...
