I add the inner layer and "storm collar" to my jacket and wear long johns under my jeans. Those things help, but when it's really really cold, I just don't ride.

Good call on hitting the curb instead of the car, and I'm glad you're not injured. It's a lot easier to fix a bike than a person.

I'm no tire mechanic, but I don't believe it takes much in the way of being out of balance/true to be noticeable when you ride. I see a bit of movement in that video, and it looks to me like it's more in the tire than the wheel. Can you take it to a mechanic to get a "real" opinion?

Yep...I'll let you guys know the outcome. It's been charging for about 12 hours now. I'll do as you suggest and leave it on for 24 hours.
