No kidding. In my area, it's rare to be at an intersection with even one other scooter or motorcycle.Darth Emma wrote:That is a great picture! We do NOT deal with that kind of scooter traffic here in the US. Are there 3 people on some of those scooters?

Cool idea...wouldn't be allowed in my neighborhood. So we have two cars and two scooters stuffed into our two-car garage.

I believe we simply have different goals/ideas in mind in relation to a product like this. I'm sure it's not right for everyone.gn2 wrote:I've never had a problem bungeeing soft bags onto seats before, guess I must be a fifth dan blackbelt in bungee.

Re: F a s t Rack
gn2, I see what you're saying, but this rack adds the stiffness that's necessary to keep a softer bag from collapsing. If bags had a nice, stiff bottom like this, it would be a non-issue.

Re: F a s t Rack
Cool idea. I bet you could make something like that pretty easily. :D Yeah, I'm kind of thinking the same thing, but with the ever-so-strategically placed holes in it, along with my lack of power tools, I'm thinking it might be easier to buy it. I've spent a little while now browsing the web for si...

I love it! This is exactly the type of thing I've been looking for to be able to avoid a top box. Seems like it's worth a try. Maybe I'll order one and let y'all know...

Re: 2014 Metropolitan (U.S.) - Honda is giving us COLORS!!!!
Yeah, I'm not a fan of the pink and white at all. Who are they trying to attract with that - 8 year old girls? But I love the orange. I'm guessing Honda's answer to "go bigger on the Met" was the SH150i, which evidently wasn't a big seller for them. I wanted one last year, but by the time ...

Re: Seat bag, tail bag, or roll bag that's NOT quick release
Mel, I like your idea of the backrest/bag combo, and it's one I've considered. As much as I like the idea, I think if I did it, I would end up hating it, simply because I'd have to remove the bag every time I wanted to open/raise the seat. Do you think your small Givi top box would hold a layered, a...

Re: Seat bag, tail bag, or roll bag that's NOT quick release
Not hard mounted...just secure. For hard mounting, it seems the only option would be a top case (or a bag mounted to a top case mounting kit). My issue is wanting something that's "on" the bike rather than "behind" the bike. Easier said than done. I will likely end up with a top ...

2014 Metropolitan (U.S.) - Honda is giving us COLORS!!!!
I think I might be in shock...I was just browsing around on the Honda Powersports page, and they have some new 2014 models listed. Looks like they've gotten rid of the SH150i for good. :( But they added a 2014 Metropolitan, and we have COLOR CHOICES beyond black, red, and white (which are not offere...

Re: Seat bag, tail bag, or roll bag that's NOT quick release
Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm doing, except that I didn't have a duffle bag, so I went ahead and ordered one made for a motorcycle. If the one I ordered works, I'll post pics.maddiedog wrote:Why not take a large duffle bag and just wrap the two handle straps under the seat, then lock the seat?

Re: Seat bag, tail bag, or roll bag that's NOT quick release
Why not get a top case? It will do what you want and you can take them off pretty easily if you don't want it on your bike all the time. Yeah, I knew I would get that question, and I should have pre-empted it. I'm just not a fan of the top case, but I haven't 100% ruled it out. I was just hoping fo...
