Re: Inexpensive pocket camera for scooter pictures!

I like my Canon Powershot A1400. Takes great photos and also has a viewfinder in addition to the screen which makes a lot easier to see and frame the shot on bright sunny days. I use the view finder almost always.

New seat cover

I recently moved from Wisconsin to Arizona and encountered a new problem. I wasn't always able to find shade to park in. Returning to my scoot I would the find the seat to be very uncomfortable to my sitting parts. So much so that once upon returning to my house I checked out said sitting parts in t...

Re: Anyone else learn to drive in a war?

I was in the Air Force stationed at Danang Air Base 1967-1968. We lived on one side of the base and worked on the opposite side. I was assigned to drive my flight to and from work in a truck or a bus. My training consisted of the instructor telling me that if I ever struck a Vietnamese person to bac...

Re: How many miles do you get off tank on 2013 pcx

I am usually around 130 miles when the gauge starts blinking. I average just over 100 mpg. My best milage was 120 mpg but I don't remember how I rode to achieve this. I have gotten around 110 mpg several time.

Re: Cow Poop & Hardwood Smoke

Every spring my grandparents would drive to the farm where my grandmother grew up and return with a trailer load of cow poop and spread it on their garden. My grandmother called it gold dust.

Re: Location! Location! Location!

WhiteNoise -- Holy smokes, you gotta lotta snow! We haven't seen that much in our part of the Land of Beer and Cheese in quite a few winters. Temps near 40F/+4C this afternoon, though we are due for some snow/sleet precip in the next day or so. Thin sun and dry patches on the street today; made me ...

Re: New forum user/ newer rider

I'm from western Wisconsin and just got back from a ride. December 5 and still riding with more nice weather forecast for a few more bonus riding days, so you can get some more miles in yet this year.

Re: which outlaw biker gang can I join with my pcx?

I have a Sons of Bacon t-shirt I got at the Milwaukee Bacon Fest held at the Harley Davidson Museum. Perhaps I should start a pcx gang here and use that as our colors. We could ride into and terrorize small towns by taking up all the seating during the breakfast rush at the local diner.

Re: Unspoken Law of "The Nod"

Although I live in Wisconsin, I use the Minnesotan finger wave when I am on my pcx. The Minnesotan finger wave is a lifting of the index finger off the steering wheel when passing an oncoming vehicle on rural two lane roads.

Re: cover

I have the Classic Accessories MotoGear motorcycle cover. It fits perfectly, keeps the scoot dry, comes with a bag and has a bungee cord and grommets to hold it down when it is windy. I got mine at Farm and Fleet for $20.
